Statement is a fine edge blade that will be sharp and easy to resharpen. You will be able to get a nice, thin slice of meat. You won’t realize how important a meat fork is until you’ve tried to hold a large roast with a dinner fork. That’s what makes this set such a great deal.

The carver is one piece construction with a full tang, which makes for effortless carving, and nice even slices. Once you’ve worked all day to get the perfect Turkey and all the fixings just the way you want them, you bring them to the table and then sadly realize you will need to use an old kitchen knife and a big serving fork… busted, that really takes the wow out of the prep! I realized that it should be a good quality set because it will have to last and look good thru decades of holiday meals.
