This is a great set for the value! I love the curved design of the handle where it meets the blade. This makes it really comfortable to hold the knife. The set really gives you every knife that you need. With the Chef, Paring, and Serrated knives, you can do any task in the kitchen. These knives are very sharp and move quickly through whatever I’m cutting. I’m very impressed with how well these knives perform. The block looks great on my countertop and love my new sharp steak knives!

This is an awesome set of knives. Has everything you need. The set includes a chef’s knife ,bread knife,5 & 6 inch utility knives, a prep knife, a paring knife, 6 steak knives, kitchen shears and a 9 inch sharpening steel. They are all very very sharp. All very high quality as any Henckels knives that we have had over the years. I would highly recommend this set.

The knives are definitely sharp, but I noticed even before some of them were used, that some of the handles had a light gray tinge to them. I have no idea what caused that, but it isn’t something that will affect their purpose. I use them everyday and I’m happy with their performance so far.

This review is for Henckels International Solution 12-piece knife set. The set has knives of stamped stainless steel with phenolic plastic handles fastened with 3 rivets per handle. The set includes a 9-inch sharpening steel, kitchen shears and a hardwood storage block. The knives are made in India; the shears, sharpening steel and block in China. The knives include an 8-inch chef’s knife, 3-inch paring knife, 5-inch serrated utility knife and six steak knives. The knives are very, very sharp and cut well. The blades are quite thin and extend in one piece from blade tips to handle ends. I am the primary cook for our family and have used these knives now for two weeks along with heavier Henckels International forged knives that I purchased about a year ago. I prefer the forged knives for most cutting chores over these, especially for tasks that involve cutting and slicing hard foods like uncooked carrots, winter squash, etc. because the thicker forged blades flex less and have a more steady feeling when applying a lot of cutting force. The thinner blades for these stamped knives make them my preferred knives for slicing meat, especially if still hot from cooking. These stamped knives hold their cutting edge well, in my opinion, just as well as for my Henckels forged knives. A negative that I noticed for the stamped steak knives in this set is that the tips of several of them have already bent with only occasional use. In my opinion the blades for the steak knives come to a too-pointed tip to be durable for such a thin blade. Being stamped, these knives do not have the bolsters at the cutting blade-to-handle junction. I feel that the bolsters contribute to user safety during cutting. This is a good stamped knife set. It retails for about 1/2 of what I paid for a comparable Henckels forged set that I, overall, prefer.

I was tired of having all these mismatched knives from different sets over the years and wanted to get a new set of knives. After doing research and reading reviews I settled on this set offered by Home Depot, Henckels Solution Fine Edge 15 piece set. This is a very nice knife set, there are 14 knives and the Wood Block for storage. The knives are very well made. The material is a high grade stain resistant stainless steel. Like all knives acidic foods should be wiped off immediately because it may cause tarnishing. The knives have Avery fine edge and are very sharp. The handle is very comfortable in my hand and they are just the right weight. I like that Henckels included an information pamphlet about care, sharpening, good/bad surfaces, how to keep that sharp, fine edge on them. Because I don’t like stuff on my counters I won’t be using the block for storage, but it is a very nice looking wood storage vehicle. Overall I would recommend these knives. They are a very good value for the money. The set includes any knife you could use.

This is a sharp and solid set of knives. The knives cut really well and I particularly like the steak knives, they are lightly serrated and very sharp. The honing tool is a must as well. The knives are much lighter than my old set which I am getting used too. I kind of liked a heavier knife though. They are made in India and are stainless steel. The set contains six steak knives, a paring knife, bread knife, chef’s knife, honing tool and kitchen scissors. The scissors are made in China. The bread knife is about half the length of our old one but still cuts well. The old longer one actually cut our fingers twice, this one is easier to use. I do wish the set came with a utility knife though.The block (which I guess is the 12th piece in the set) is great quality and stain resistant. It holds the knives at a lower angle than my previous block (see picture) so I dont have to slide out or tip the block to get a larger knife out. With that though, it takes up more counter space.
