This is a great knife set, whether for someone just starting out on his or her own or for an experienced cook. These knives are sharp, and I mean SHARP! They are literally razor sharp! You can’t go wrong with Henckels …I’ve had some of their knives for decades and still use them every day. These knives are made of stamped steel, so the blades are thinner than you’d see on a super high-end knife set, but they are still great knives that really cut at an affordable price. The thinner blades do make the knives lighter, too, which can be an advantage if you have a lot of cutting to do. The set includes a nice selection of useful knives, shears, sharpening steel and good-looking wooden storage block. The knives are comfortable and well-balanced, and the handles are virtually indestructible. A nice set of knives.

The Henckels 15- piece knife block set is that great starter set of knives for any cook. The blades are stamped steel of course there razor sharp right out of the box. The handles are a black composite which will hold up for many meals over the years. A couple of bread knives and of course food preparation knives. And when the meals done six steak knives to cut up that delicious meal. Chip resistant steel and dishwasher safe. The beautiful wood block holds all these knives safely. And keeps them organized. So if your in need of a affordable quality set of knives this may be your set.
