The bouns with this block is that you get four steak knives and if you have ever bought or looked at steak knife sets, you know that can be pricey. Good knives aren’t cheap! Hanckels makes a high quality knife set, and this set should last a very long time. I like the fact that these are riveted together. Also appreciated is the high quality of the wood block. It looks nice! This set comes with every sort of knife I could want or need in the kitchen, including a set of four steak knives and a pair of poultry scissors. Highly recommended!

Worthy of more than 5 stars!!! Wow! These are wicked sharp! I’ve included how they’ve packaged each individual knife for shipping…first, plastic wrap…second, cardboard over the blade, third, a plastic cap over the end of each knife and forth, the end product. I figured if they took that much care in just packaging every single item with layers of protection…these must be pretty good. They are the sharpest knives that I’ve ever known. I received many different knife/block sets over the years and this is by far the best! Caution: it does say that you can put these in the dishwasher but they also mention, not only in the product material but on their website…you should never put good knives in the dishwasher. You always use warm, soapy water and it only takes a minute and worth keeping your knives at their best by doing so…This is a great knife set and would recommend these to anyone needing super-sharp knives and a knife block that looks “upscale”. 🙂
