Very good serrated edge grips and slices right through crusts without damaging the interior. Nice straight sandwich-style slices effortlessly. Also good for slicing sandwiches, ripe tomatoes and peaches. The serrated edge glides right through for a clean cut. (Consider a longer knife if you use it to cut more than traditional loaves and sandwiches.)I really like Henckels Classic knives; I’ve had a set for more than 20 years. These are forged knives made of quality steel. They have a triple riveted handle, a comfortable integrated bolster. Even if they aren’t made in Germany, the steel is, and their quality is unquestionable.
