I use it in my 2019 Mac Pro with 4x2TB m.2 SSDs from Samsung. The passive cooling works great, I see consistent write/read speed rates in continuous heavy use and the drive is silent.

I bought this to replace 6 SSDs in a RAID on my server so I could free up space to expand it’s big multi-TB drive. Setup of the management engine was a little bit of a hassle b/c they don’t auto populate firewall rules. But after some digging and countless reboots it worked – though I’m still not exactly sure what I did to fix it. Can NOT use a RAID in a boot drive. Software RAID too. Don’t get mediocre NVMe drives. Spend the money on the Samsung and you’ll be happier. I got the Barracuda G5 and am now going to replace them with Samsung 980 Pro because the write performance is not great on the Barracuda – though it meets spec. The card isn’t the issue, the Samsung’s have twice the write performance. I have been on their Support site too and have found them to do a good job of supporting their products.
