The Hilti lithium-ion cordless family of tools has been extended with the new Hilti SIW 22-Volt Lithium-Ion High-Torque Cordless Impact Wrench. The SIW 22-Volt delivers more torque in a rugged, compact design for fastening metal bolts, wood lag bolts and concrete screw anchors like the Hilti HUS Anchor. The impact mechanism has been finely tuned for maximum efficiency and achieves best in-class performance in terms of the total number of fastenings per battery charge. A specially designed motor also provides maximum torque when needed most and has been designed to outlast with a longer tool life. These great features simply mean you can now do more and cord less.

I have to say I was really impressed by the power of this impact. It should not have surprised me being a Hilti product. First thing, the tool comes with two batteries, a charger, impact and a set of standard impact sockets and a nice tote bag. So you are ready to go right out of the box. The battery charged quickly and lasted through the entire job. I was intalling lag bolts for a porch I was replacing, typically I would have pulled out my corded impact but decided to give this a try. I saw no difference with the performance compared to my corded impact. It was great not having to worry about a cord while manuvering through the joists. I decided to try removing lug nuts form my truck, just to see how it did, and I was really surprised that it did a great job with no issue. I would never try that with my other cordless impacts. This is a serious tool built for a professional.

Everybody knows Hilti makes some of the best stuff around. If you use an impact wrench for automotive, construction, or industrial work and need to be mobile and require a portable impact wrench, look no further than the SIW 22-Volt 1/2″. It comes with a nice carrying bag, charger, two lithium ion batteries, and a set of standard SAE impact sockets. I have used a lot of pneumatic and electric impact wrenches and, although they might have constant power they have all been limited in mobility and all were a lot less refined than this solid, strong refined tool.
