I nearly gave the drill a 4-star rating for quality due to the case, but the case is not representative of the drill itself. I would prefer to see a stronger case, as hammer drills are especially used in a rough environment as a general rule. I used the TE-2-S side by side with a competitors more expensive rotary hammer, and the Hilti was awesome – in fact surprising. The reverse feature for the bit is wonderful and performed extremely well. The controls for switching functions work smooth and effortlessly. I do like the lightweight on the drill, yet not compromising on the power. The cord stood out as superlative – is was just over 12 feet in length and good sold rubber. I can’t imagine the number of times this will save the hassle of looking for an extension cord. The depth gauge is good and easy to adjust. I was impressed to have the drill wrapped in a nice cloth for protection during shipping.

Best tool to buy for drilling concrete. The only down side is the plastic case, in my opinion, is cheaply made and I am not sure how long it will hold up.

The TE 2-S Rotary Hammer Drill power rating is 700 watts and draws about 6.5 Amps. It weighs 5.3 lbs. The hammer speed under the Precision hammering is 0 – 26900/min and Full hammering action is 0 – 4600 /min. Single Impact Energy under the Precision hammering action is 0.6 Nm / 0.4 ft lbs and under the Full hammering action it is 1.8 Nm / 1.3 ft lbs. It uses drill bits from the size of 3/16” to 7/8” and you can use a Thin-barrel core bits or Hole saws from 25-68mm (1” – 2 5/8”). It comes with 3 hammer drill bits, 3/16 in. x 6 in, 1/4 in. x 6 in. 3/8 in. x 6 in., grease (for the bits ends that goes into the chuck) and plastic tool box I was drilling through brick and it drill it like it was butter. It has a click chuck is easy in insert bits or removal. All you do is pull back on the dust shield of the chuck and it releases or inserting the bit. It is that simple. Hilti has been making Rotary Hammer/Demo Hammer back in 1940’s. They have a great reputation for building a rugged and top quality products. I am very happy with the results in drill holes to put anchor in the brick.
