First impression as I picked this impact up out of the box was a WOW. As with most Hilti tools, you could tell it was quality made. No cheap plastic here. I like that the batteries are styled after the bigger batteries out there today so that you have a solid base to set it on when not using it. The dual lights point in just the right direction so you can see what you need to regardless of hand or head position. The charge indicator on the batteries is a very nice added feature. I like the clip that you can install in the event you plan to hook it on your tool belt or even your jeans pocket while climbing a ladder etc. Compared to other 12 volt models, this unit matches them in almost every category, More speed, more max. Torque, more impacts per minute etc. It is just a bit heavier, but that can be accounted for the heavier material it is built with. It is powerful, compact and packs a great punch for getting even the toughest job done. The price is a little higher than most of the other 12 volt models and some of that can be attributed to the quality of the unit, but also partially due to its name. This would make a great addition to any carpenters or mechanics tool chest. IF I were going to spend all day driving 3″ screws through deck planks, I would probably opt for an 18 or 24 volt model, but just short of that, this unit will give you what you need.

Like most HILTI products, this one does not fail to impress. Out of the package, this is a quality impact driver felt in the hand. This kit includes both the impact driver, two batteries with charger and a nice carry bag. Recently used this on the job site for some light frame work and this impact driver worked flawless all day long with no issues and excellent batter life. The quick release chuck hold the impact bits with no issues. One of the few tools I can see being of use for both the home DIY’r and the professional tradesman.

This is a handy tool to have around the house. Light weight, good for light duty work. Impressed with the 12 volt pwr.

The drill is lightweight and has more than enough power to do the job of larger drills. The light feature is a positive attribute of the tool. What it lacks is settings for drill pressure or a switch to indicate drilling verses screw driving. These are features that would make it a better product than it is.
