This 1/4 in. cordless drill driver delivers reliable fastening performance to get your job done quickly. This tool features a 15-position torque clutch to give you more control when fastening while protecting your finished products and base materials. It provides full control of drilling and driving functions with its rapid switch reaction. Operating quietly, this compact power drill is ideal for compact spaces. I have been slowly updating my tools to all Lithium Ion battery powered. This drill is a great choice. It is light in weight, powerful, yet fits comfortably in my hand. The tool drills easily and have a variable speed setting for fasteners. It is great for projects around the home. Hex based driver heads and drill bits lock-in easily. The battery charged up to full in under 30 minutes and lasted a long time. I ran out of jobs before I ran out of power. There is also light in the base and it came in a nice carry bag that has plenty of room for the tool, charger and accessories. Very pleased

190 dollars may seem a lot for a screwdriver but man this thing is sweet. Comes with two batteries too. If you think about how many times a screwdriver is the better choice than a impact/nut driver (cammed out screws), then you will get far more use out of this tool. 15 torque settings will keep you out of trouble! Build quality is second to none, the case/shell/cover seams are perfect, no ridges.

This is a nice compact package with plenty of power for everyday screw and nut driving jobs. Like other tools in this Hilti range the SFD 2-A has two bright LED lights on top of the battery section which provide great illumination right at the point where the fastener meets the material.The tool is a not at all heavy and the smooth contours make it comfortable to hold and use. This is no lightweight though. The manual shows the tool in the nut driver configuration and with a regular chuck attached for use as a drill. I think the regular drill chuck must be a separate purchase. There are 15 torque settings and the 100% torque drill setting plus two speeds and forward and revers options.The outer sleeve of the nut driver chuck is pulled forward to enable the fitting or removal of the bit holder. In place the bit holder is safe and secure. I tried the driver with general construction Torx screws and with a 3/8th drive half inch socket to fasten and unfasten a bolt – see photos and video. The tool worked very well. The tool stalled at lower torque settings (as I would expect when driving screws directly into 2” x 4”) and drove the screws in easily at the 15 setting.Initially the socket would not undo the ½” nut/bolt and it immediately stalled behaving as if the battery was flat. I checked the battery using the really cool battery status lights and it was showing as fully charged. When I altered the torque setting to 100% (drill setting) the nut was easily driven.The battery charger has comprehensive feedback about battery status using just two LEDs that glow either red, green or a combination of the two. With a second battery included in the pack it is easy to always have one on charge and ready for use.The driver also comes with a strong belt clip that can be attached to either left or right of the battery housing and a large canvas type storage bag with a heavy duty zip and carrying handles.This is the first pure cordless driver I have owned and I look forward to using it for years to come.
