   This Hilti dsh600x is incredible saw. Ive owned/ operated 27 concrete cut off saws. Ive bought many used or “non running” saws , fixed them , used them and resold them, always keeping at least 2 for my hardscaping and masonry/concrete work. The 2 ive always preferred to keep were the Husqvarna k760 or k970 and either makita/dolmar 73cc saw or a stihl 420 or a hilti dsh700x, even Solo or Nortons great saws. Since using this high torque, powerful compact, lighter weight saw, It is now my feature or first pick saw !! The pump is such a great idea. The blade brake , again, hilti innovation, only saw that does that to my knowledge . I love this saw ! I Plan on getting another 600x as opposed to any of the other brands w the exception maybe the Husqvarna k970 version 3 only because thats a 94cc saw and 16″or the 900x from Hilti ( 87cc). Thatd be my big saw , the Hilti dsh600x my everyday saw. Thank you Hilti for another great , ingenious game changer tool.

   I’ll begin by saying that anything associated with name Hilti is only of the finest products for masonry work. I’ve been in the industrial maintenance field for 25 years now. The corporation that I work for uses Hilti brand tools for our masonry work. Never had nothing but solid results with their products. Now getting back to this DSH 600-X 12″ gas concrete saw. Hilti put a lot of thought into this saw. The water pump alone is worth its weight in gold at giving the diamond blade constant cooling and what is considered your lubrication on these diamond blades. Adding a longer life span to the expensive diamond blades. Also, it is very lightweight at only 22.15 lbs. Very easy to crank with the auto choke system that has been engineered into this saw. (As a side note, I personally recommend using ethanol free gas in the saw if possible. I use ethanol free gas in all my gas- powered hand tools, lawnmowers, weed eaters, etc. You can research this known fact about ethanol gas. It’s bad about gumming up most small engine equipment over time. It will also eat your fuel lines up if it’s left sitting unused over a long period of time.) Have used the saw on 2 jobs already. It’s almost unreal how easily this saw cuts through concrete. Without hesitation, it cuts right through the rebar that was in the concrete for reinforcement. It’s almost like this saw cuts even better the more you load it up with longer extended cuts. I’ve already had two contractors I personally know that are in the process of ordering themselves one of these saws to keep on their service trucks after watching mine in action on the job. Hilti has out done themselves again with another fine product, which is the normal for these people! Would highly recommend this product, but only if you want something that’s dependable, and will last you for many years to come!!!!

   This is one of those classic tools that does its job very well. Hilti is known for making outstanding tools, and this is one of those. The kit includes the DSH 600-X gas saw, the DSH-P water pump to feed water out of a water bucket (if a pressurized water supply is not available) and the top of the line SPX diamond saw blade. The saw is a 2-stroke engine that uses 50:1 fuel:oil mix. It has an auto choke and auto belt tensioner, so startup and maintenance is easy. The kit includes a box of consumables that include two new air filters, a new spark plug, a new fuel filter, and several replacement pull cords. The one little thing that worries me is the small plastic lever on the water flow valve. Seems likely to get broken over time – wished it was a little more stout.When I got it, cut a concrete block, a clay brick, a concrete paver, and a piece of bluestone – it went through them all like buttah. It can be used dry (with the right blade), but has a built in water system that should help extend blade life.It comes with a smaller diameter set of flanges to use with diamond impregnated metal blades – those get you 4-3/4 inches of cutting depth. It also includes a larger set of flanges to use with fiber/composite discs. I’d guess you get about 4-1/4″ of cutting depth with those.The flanges are reversible so they work with blades that have either 20-mm or 1-inch holes.

   DSH 600-X 12 in. Hand Held Gas Saw with DSH-P Water Pump and 12 in. SPX Diamond Saw BladeThe Hilti power saw is a powerhouse in a compact package. The saw is a nice weighted saw. Heavy enough to be stable and solid. Light enough to be easy to hold and move. The April 2019 deal is to include a blade or set of disks. The engine runs strong and smooth. Easy to start and easy use with premix 2-stroke engine. The 600X has a powered water pump that can run from a bucket of water or low-pressure hose. It also has quick disconnects. The “kit” has a pair of air filters and easy maintenance items. “KIT” includes everything but gas and oil. The adjustable shield/guard is stable and tough. There is a wheel option that I might try later. This Swiss Saw is great. Directions for use expect some mechanical sense and smarts. The saw is simple to use.
