   Nothing like Christmas shopping in July but when you see something that looks great and is functional at the same time it is hard to resist. This garland is a long 12 feet and comes pre-wired with 70 LED warm white lights. The lights are very small but give off a bright light – I wanted to include a picture of a single LED light but it’s so small it wouldn’t come into focus. It is battery operated by 4 AA batteries and while mine works fine with alkaline batteries, it is recommended by the manufacturer to use Lithium batteries especially in cold weather. The “timer” can be set to either “on” or as a 6 hour “on” and 18 hour “off” repeating timer. The limbs resemble Noble Fir and can bend out to give a very full appearance. The garland itself can be bent easily to line a stairway, fireplace, balcony, etc. Overall, I am very happy with this product and look forward to the holiday season with all the decorations.

Elegant Battery Operated Noble Fir LED Pre-Lit Christmas Garland with Timer and 70-Micro Dot LightsThe on-line photo of this very realistic looking illuminated fir garland did not do justice to its actual size (see first photo of it laid out on our dining room table). The diameter of the garland is also impressive at 8 to 9 inches when the branches are spread out a bit. Altogether with the lights, this looks grand enough to be decorating our centerpiece this Christmas.Luckily, the garland appears pretty unbreakable because the shipping box was severely torn open (see second photo) when it was delivered to the point I almost did not accept it. But upon opening the box, there was no damage (see third photo). The lighting circuit requires four AA size batteries (see fourth photo) which are not supplied with the garland. I left them turned on all afternoon and they were still on at dinner time. Then I read the instructions, and read that the pushbutton switch can be set to come on at a specific time of the day and run for 6 hours, and then automatically shut off for the next 18 hours. There is also a constant on setting. We think this is a really nice feature at this value.

   I wasn’t sure about this garland at first, but after I put the batteries in it and hung it up, I really liked it. It’s nice and full (there are about 3 different kinds of greenery in it), the lights are nice and bright, and it’s easy to shape. The battery holder is in the center, but it’s really easy to hide. I’m not the most confident about decorating for holidays, and it was easy for me to make it look good, so that’s saying something. Make sure you fluff it most of the way on the floor before you hang it, so you won’t kill your shoulders. I used large 3 M (clear) hangers and they work great.

   I have to preface my review with the fact that I have not had the opportunity to fully test the garland lights in a real world christmas scenario. It being July, I am hesitant to freak out my neighbors by setting up xmas light outside. The garland seems very well made. It comes in the box partially compressed, just like an artificial xmas tree would. You need to fluff the needles obviously, no big deal. I installed the batteries for a test run and the lights lit up and look very nice. So far, I would recommend this pre lit garland.
