If you could see my old cutting board, you would know why I got this one. I used it for everything and it was discolored, chipped, and even though it was glass, it had scratches. This one sits in front of my toaster on my counter and is used to prepare most of my meals. I will feel much better with this one taking it’s place. The small buttons on the corners also keep it raised and from slipping.

Home Basics Frosted Glass Cutting Board. Measures 11.75 in. x 15.75 in. x .3 in., Non-porous surface provides a sanitary work surface and is perfect for chopping and preparing ingredients. The directions say “Hand wash for easy maintenance” and I would prefer to be able to put in the dishwasher. Non-skid silicone bottoms keep the cutting board in place on the counter or where ever you are using it. It seems very sturdy and is large enough for all your cutting, the only drawback I see is if you drop it you are out a cutting board. When they ship it to you it comes packed in a cardboard box with plenty of bubble wrap to insure it arrives undamaged.

Glass cutting boards are superior to plastic boards because they do not accumulate scratches that could harbor bacteria. Glass also is superior in that it is easier to see that it has been properly cleaned. This board has four soft feet that prevent the board from sliding on the countertop, even for energetic tasks like kneading bread dough.After numerous cleaning cycles in a dishwasher this cutting board is still as good as new.

I like glass everything in my kitchen, especially when preparing food. I feel that it is more sanitary than plastic. That said, I like this cutting board because it can put on my granite counter next to my sink while food prepping. I like that the board has non-slip rubber feet so it doesn’t slide around, especially when you are cutting. It is a good size 12×16. The glass is a little thin, so you need care in the handling. Again you can use hot water and soap, even clorox to sanitize the surface.

This cutting board is a really nice size (approx. 12″ X 16″ X .3 ” high) for when a larger, yet professional looking, food preparation area is needed. The tempered glass with non slip silicone feet is quite sturdy, has a non- porous surface that is very hygienic and hand washes easily. It also just looks good in our kitchen. When we host larger wine and cheese parties, this attractive frosted glass cutting board doubles quite well as a serving piece.
