Who would think that you can order wine glasses and a whole ton of other household type items from Home Depot? All at a great value, plus get free home delivery??? I stumbled across these stemless style wine glasses which were one of their daily deals and ordered them; with some skepticism. They arrived rather quickly along with other items I ordered. To my surprise….They are EXCELLENT! The look, feel & quality are top notch. All of my purchases have gone well with Home Depot in cotrast to that other Big Blue chain. The Genoa Brand, 15.5 fl. oz. Lead-Free Crystal White Wine Glasses (Set of 4) are beautiful wine glasses whether used for wine or other beverages. The thing I like best about these Genoa wine glasses are their thin bodies and rims. When I was very young my grandmother gave me a depression era green glass to drink from that was very thin and I asked her why was it was so thin, her reply: so, you can taste what you are drinking and not the glass. It is very true, wine or anything consumed from a thin glass rim against the lips just naturally tastes better. I love that these Genoa wine glasses are lead free crystal. Tap on them and they ring like a bell, run your damp finger around the rim and sing loud and clear. At my advanced age, I have never owned such nice glasses, for wine, the perfect size to enjoy the robust aroma of fine wines, or any other beverage. The long stem makes holding the glass easy and keeps one’s hands from adding warmth to a chilled wine. These Genoa wine glasses are perfect for any occasion and affordable given their high quality and generous size.

These champagne flutes are pretty cool. First, they are not your mother’s traditional flutes. Yeah, they’re fluted but they are bigger, more contemporary and they’re actually lighter, too. The first thing you’ll notice is how much larger the bowl is on these glasses versus a traditional flute. That’s right: you won’t have to pour as often! Next, the stem is lightweight but fits in your hand pretty well and the base is sufficient to support the glass without taking over the entire look. If you like to take in the bubbly, this is a contemporary spin on that pastime and your guests will comment on how much they like them- I know ours did.

These glasses are beautiful, well-made and really taking my quarantine cocktail game to new levels. I’m confused about the 11+ ounce description however. It doesn’t hold anywhere near that much liquid. On my kitchen scale, when I fill it with liquid to a comfortable point for handling, it is about 6.5 ounces. The glass it’s self weighs 6.3. so perhaps the ounces given in the description are meant to be the glass together with the drink? Whatever the case, they are lovely and I would buy them again!
