   Beautiful, real wood compliments my wood cabinets. The tray is made to be trimmed to size with a table saw. ( some moderate carpentry skill needed) High end look of maple. Large compartments for my flatware. Since it is easily trimmed, it made the drawer look like it was bought hat way. Larger items fit the side and top compartments.This costs a tad more than cheap plastic trays ( why I gave 4-stars), but the quality is worth it.

   This replaced a basic wood silverware/drawer divider that I have had for years, but should have gotten rid of a while ago… This is divider is a very solid piece, it is definitely hard wood, and will last a long time. I had the choice to install it one of two ways, and I chose the way that didn’t require me to use my table saw. It fit the way I used it within about 1/2 inch front to back, it would have fit the other way almost exactly, but the screws from the drawer handles needed to be recessed. This tray is very large and holds a lot of utensils, and I like how the sides are designed to make an additional section by using the drawer as the walls. The only thing I don’t love is that the tray is about 1/2 inch taller than the drawer, it doesn’t affect the usage, just me being OCD about it…

   Most of us have the curse of the plastic silverware trays. I am no different. So I was thrilled to get this Rev A Shelf wood tray. The tray is made of solid maple – unbelievable. It is a quality product, very well sanded with no splinters and clear coated. This is a very large size. It is nineteen by nineteen and three inches deep. My drawer is very large and when I measured it, it seemed to be a perfect fit, front to back, with extra room on the sides. What I did not account for was the screw heads on the inside of the drawer. I did not feel like cutting off half an inch, so just turned it sideways. If I can get used to it this way, and if my husband does not complain, it will stay. Otherwise, will cut the half inch off. As large as this tray was, there was still room for one plastic tray. It will keep the drawer neater with more slots to separate the utensils. This maple insert is certainly a much better, more natural look for the drawer. To complete the drawer, I may order a smaller maple insert to complete the look and organization of the large drawer.

   This is a Rev-A-Shelf manufactured cutlery drawer insert that has been private labeled for “Home Decorators Collection” sold exclusively at Home Depot. The overall dimensions are 19” x 19” x 3” tall and although the description says it is sized for a 24” drawer, I am not sure how they came up with that conclusion. In a 24” wide drawer this insert would certainly fit but by no means would it fit snuggly since it is several inches smaller than a 24” drawer. For a custom look I would recommend this insert be used in 20” and smaller width drawers, whose interior dimensions are typically just 18.75” on 5/8” constructed drawer boxes. Then using either a handheld saw, or preferably a table saw, the insert could be trimmed to the exact required size. The construction is all maple hardwood with a clear coat satin finish. It is beautifully made with tight fitting parts that have all been sanded smooth and all edges have been eased. Commonly, the 5 center sections are used for flatwear – forks, knives, spoons – while the two longer width compartments will accommodate longer and bulkier items. There is also a longer section on both the far right and far left of the insert. Overall, this is a high quality drawer divider insert which would easily pass as a custom, factory installed divider when properly fitted to a drawer box. Of course, it can also be used in any drawer, without trimming, provided the interior dimensions are at least 19” x 19” x 3”. It is difficult to determine where this insert is manufacturer’s since I could not find a label anywhere on the package or on the item itself. Rev-A-Sheld has facilities both here in Kentucky, USA and in Mexico.

   Absolutely love these things for organizing drawers. Already have the spice rack one in another drawer and picked up this one and another spice rack for our camper. They come in different sizes but are made to be cut to fit your drawer. Take your time and get the cuts nice and close and it gives your drawer a custom built in look. I really like that it is cut to fit. All the cheap plastic inserts never fit right and always slide around. With this one cut right, it fills the whole drawer and doesn’t move around. Would highly recommend.
