With a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution display, the EliteDisplay E243 23.8″ 16:9 IPS Monitor from HP allows viewers to see their movies, videos, photos, documents, and more with enhanced clarity. In addition to a Full HD display, this monitor also features a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 250 cd/m² brightness rating, a 5 ms response time, and support for up to 16.7 million colors. Setting up the EliteDisplay E243 is simple as it comes equipped with DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA inputs as well as USB 3.0 connectivity to plug USB compatible peripherals directly into the monitor. Once configured, the display can be tilted, swiveled, and the height adjusted for maximum viewing comfort.

Easy to set up and works well, I am not a big fan of HDMI connections and I know that’s not an HP invention or should I say product, I have had an issue with HDMI connections not connecting 100 % of the time.

Like so many other people, I am working from home, using my company provided laptop. Working off the laptop for short periods is OK, but for extensive fine detail work, such as spreadsheet analytics is a strain on the eyes. My family is using our desktop so the only option was to buy a 2nd widescreen monitor. I love this HP 23.8″ monitor because it has many ergonomic features, such as tilt and height adjustments. It has preset background lighting settings from low blue light, night, reading, photo, etc. making it easy to select a comfortable setting without messing around with individual brightness, contrast, etc controls. The frame is stylish and I like that it is thin so that the visual field is wide 16:9 format filling up basically the entire width and height of the monitor. I currently have the monitor set up to work in dual display mode with my laptop. This setup works well for multi-tasking. I am very happy with this purchase.
