With a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution display, the EliteDisplay E243 23.8″ 16:9 IPS Monitor from HP allows viewers to see their movies, videos, photos, documents, and more with enhanced clarity. In addition to a Full HD display, this monitor also features a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 250 cd/m² brightness rating, a 5 ms response time, and support for up to 16.7 million colors. Setting up the EliteDisplay E243 is simple as it comes equipped with DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA inputs as well as USB 3.0 connectivity to plug USB compatible peripherals directly into the monitor. Once configured, the display can be tilted, swiveled, and the height adjusted for maximum viewing comfort.

I have had two of these for about two weeks now and I am very impressed with the quality of them. I use these on my desk as screens for my laptop and I have been impressed by them. The color of the monitors seems very accurate and I haven’t had any problems with them. The setup was super easy and didn’t take more than five minutes. I like to monitor. It is very good with Blacks and grays in pretty good with colors. My only complaint was the instructional pamphlet that came with the monitor was singularly unhelpful in describing the various buttons on the bottom side of the monitor. I tried googling something more substantial but have yet to find anything helpful.

The is a very nice monitor. Colors a right on with a very sharp image and definition. Screen is thin and nice looking on my desk. It is a little heavier than other screens this size, but not overwhelming. Screen is quick to start up when turned on!

There’s a lot to like about this monitor. It’s very nicely featured for the segment of the market HP is targeting. The standout feature for me, outside of the display, is the very thin bezels. I’ve included a photo that shows just how thin they are. The display is by no means top of the line, but it has great spec and incredible clarity, for this level of monitor. It’s perfect for everyday use and more than enough for most office or home based desktop users. It can even be used for light gaming in a pinch. Speaking of light, this is a very light monitor, even with the based attached. All in all, for me, I consider this to be a nearly perfect work based monitor and how I’ll primarily use it. I have to often used multiple monitors for many of my daily work projects. This is going to be perfect next to my dual set-up I currently use. In sum, I feel this is a really nice monitor, especially for the segment HP is going after. Recommended 4 stars Cheers!
