   The HP DesignJet T230 shipped with “starter cartridges.” That being said, I anticipate that this cartridge will give comparable performance. It is to HP’s credit that the Black 712 has more capacity than the color cartridges since my practice prints principally black line prints with this printer. My former HP DesignJet 111 was conservative in its consumption of ink; thus far it appears the HP DesignJet T230 will follow suit.
