Description said it was capable of wireless printing but its not unless you buy a gadget to hook up to it to make it a wireless printer. Returned and bought an actual wireless printer.

My 17 year old HP 1310n printer’s manual feed failed, so I decided to splurge on a color laser printer. This was B&H’s recommendation for the class of printer I wanted and I continued to research it. This must be a new product since it garnered only one poor review here. Despite being bigger than the old one, it still fit on top of my low filing cabinet. It prints at about the same speed as my old one, but handles complex pages much faster. It is quieter and idles quicker than the 1310. It has all the paper feed options one could desire and defaults to duplex printing. You can give it a long print run and it just works away. The quality of text and graphics is breathtaking. I own a super high quality photo printer with 9 inks, so I didn’t purchase it for photos, but photo quality is quite good and may be about the best you can get using four colors on plain paper. There are zero visual artifacts. Colors are accurate, and bright images are great, but subtle shades are weak and shadow detail blocks out. But if I want a quick proof, it’s more than fine. I did not purchase it for wireless printing or printing from flash drives or iPhones. I have a wired ethernet connection so that was all the connectivity I needed. I found the display a bit clunky and setup obnoxious. I had to download and install an app and the arcane message Could not print because the certificate expired would send any non-IT specialist into a tailspin. That required an Internet search to resolve and even then the instructions I found were inaccurate. That would take half a star off my review. For a printer like this, I would strongly recommend getting the best laser only paper you can find. I use Xerox Bold Professional. Absolutely don’t cheap out on bargain all-in-one paper. You’re shortchanging yourself and this printer. As a technologist with over 60 years experience, I find it exciting that one can actually own a piece of equipment that has this level of perfection. I look forward to years of enjoying this printer.
