Able to easily fit into smaller workspaces, the LaserJet Pro M227fdw All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer from HP still manages to deliver outstanding speed as well as a multi-functional design that incorporates printing, scanning, copying, and faxing into a single unit. It will help your office deliver sharp documents with its 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution and can work quickly and efficiently at up to 30 ppm in simplex. Automatic duplex printing is also available at up to 18 ipm and the printer has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC for various mobile printing protocols, including tap-to-print.
Opening the door for scanning, copying, and faxing is the inclusion of the 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed and a 35-sheet ADF that can work with media up to 8.5 x 14″ in size. General media handling is offered in two ways, either through the main 250-sheet input tray or a 10-sheet priority tray. Operation of the printer is intuitive through the 2.7″ touchscreen LCD and there is a front USB port for directly printing from or scanning to a portable drive. Additionally, it offers USB 2.0 and Ethernet, in addition to the wireless options.

I have started a job where I work remotely and this is the printer/scanner my employer suggested. However, the scan quality is very poor. The default resolution is 150 dpi and the highest I can set it is 300 dpi. The specs say that it goes up to 1200 dpi, but I haven’t figured out how to get that quality out of it. The result is all my scanned documents are a little blurry and they scan tilted, which means I have to manually adjust each page or provide sloppy scans to my employer and clients.

Purchased this product, no installation instructions, HP in the past had a easy to follow step by step guide. That is not the case now, printer still is not hooked up, have tp go to geek squad to help. This has me convinced I will NOT be using HP there ae other companies I WILL use.

I bought the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdw about a week ago and I love everything about it. I needed it for my home office and I needed something quick that can get the job done. It prints, scans, faxes quickly. I set up the wifi bluetooth so I can print documents straight from my phone. I love that part.

Ours is a small office. 10 to 15 copies per day. As we’ve only had this copier for a few weeks, it’s too early to provide a comprehensive review. I can state that set-up and start-up went smoothly. To date, we are pleased with the performance.

Had this for about 2 years. It has been a constant connectivity nightmare. I should be able to connect to Windows PC, but apparently that is too much to ask in the 2020s. HP should hire people who know something about networking to design their products. I have purchased several HP devices over the years, but this is my last HP. And this one is about to be dropped out the window.

Been working with personal computers in my business since the very first Mac. Not highly skilled, but knowledgeable. Bought this printer/scanner to replace my HP C4780 ink jet printer/scanner. Had a ton of trouble setting the unit up to just print from my computer, then could not get the scan function tied to my computer. Still not configured. Wishing for my old C4780.

I have had this Multi Function Printer for only a few weeks but I love it so far. It was easy to set up and has been easy to use. I have not yet used the scan or fax features so cannot speak to those. I hope it will be reliable over time. This is my 3rd HP printer, and reliability over time has suffered in the more recent ones. Obviously, I still like HP printers but wish that they were still manufactured with the reliability and longevity of the first one, which is still performing admirably after many years.

I contacted tech support before purchase. Yes, it will copy, print, fax & scan, BUT, I specified it have separate trays for letter, legal and envelopes as I didn’t want to be exchanging paper all the time. Trouble is the letter tray only holds about 6-8 pages unless you take the legal papers out of the bottom and replace with letter sized. Yes it will print envelopes, BUT, you gotta remove the legal papers, pull the infeed trays to a narrow size for envelopes… Other than that it’s a good printer, just not for me. Brownos

Great multi-function printer at a great price for small home office needs. Setup is a bit confusing, but I was able to figure it out on my own.

very disappointed, never had such a bad experience with HP printer. Seems like they rushed it to put them in the market because of COVED demand !!!

This printer works like a champ! The quality of the printer feels solid and the output of the pages from the printer looks great as well. The folks in our office enjoy using this new printer. They also enjoy the user interface and big color screen controls on the front of the printer.

I bought this printer as a replacement for my HP 4 Plus after it finally died of old age and thousands of pages through it. The HP MFP M227fdw is a great little printer that is loaded with features. My wife and I both have iPads, therefore the “air print” feature is really a great feature for us. The printer is very easy to set up so you can get started printing really fast. Did I say fast? This thing prints really fast. No long waits to get your printed pages. I would buy it again.
