Able to easily fit into smaller workspaces, the LaserJet Pro M227fdw All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer from HP still manages to deliver outstanding speed as well as a multi-functional design that incorporates printing, scanning, copying, and faxing into a single unit. It will help your office deliver sharp documents with its 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution and can work quickly and efficiently at up to 30 ppm in simplex. Automatic duplex printing is also available at up to 18 ipm and the printer has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC for various mobile printing protocols, including tap-to-print.
Opening the door for scanning, copying, and faxing is the inclusion of the 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed and a 35-sheet ADF that can work with media up to 8.5 x 14″ in size. General media handling is offered in two ways, either through the main 250-sheet input tray or a 10-sheet priority tray. Operation of the printer is intuitive through the 2.7″ touchscreen LCD and there is a front USB port for directly printing from or scanning to a portable drive. Additionally, it offers USB 2.0 and Ethernet, in addition to the wireless options.

Although a tad pricey it’s worth it. Copies, prints, scans, and faxes. I really like that I can use the mobile app and send a fax using my cell phone number. It is invaluable to me. Very functional.

I’m not sure why others seem to have installation problems. I removed the packing tape, plugged it in, installed an Ethernet cable then walked over the my Windows 10 computer. By the time I got there (15 seconds) the printer, scan to computer, print to fax were already set up and ready to go. I printed from Word and scanned to computer using the LCD panel instantly. Total mouse clicks to install: zero. Abosuletly effortless!

Things that are great about this printer: 1. Very easy to setup. We have a hard wired ethernet network and I found it very easy to setup the printer. 2. Really like the big paper tray. 3. Was pleasantly surprised that it prints duplex as a default. 4. The auto power down feature is great. We can go days without using the printer and the power down feature saves electricity. 5. I like that we can replace the fuser assembly. The only thing we have found that we did not like is the HP software running on the PC to do the scanning. It’s very slow and awkward.

Excellent quality of output, and fast printing. The e print feature is also easy to set up and use However two drawbacks: 1. Cannot multitask– i.e. while fax is being received or sent cant be used as copier. Similarity if scanning is being done, cannot print. 2.Scanning/faxing of two sided docs needs two passes (one for each side). But if you don’t need thee two features its a quality product at a very reasonable price.

After researching all models from all brands I choose this one for its price (lowest I can find), resolution (1200 x 1200) and duplex. I have an old HP printer 1320 which I bought since 2007. It still works fine with no problem whatsoever. I bought this new one for my children Christmas gift. I hope it will last like my old printer.

Purchased a few weeks ago, easy to set up and use. Nice quality copies. I can’t comment on how long ink/toner lasts but if we figured it out correctly about 6 months. I should mention I only print in black which was part of my decision for this printer.

Still haven’t figured out how to scan multiple pages of a document. My old scanner gave me a choice of more pages this one has no such feature. Had I known it was this difficult I would have looked for another unit. Also can’t find out how to keep the phone line plugged in without losing the same phone line for calling. My previous unit a 7600 had the phone line plugged in all the time and it would automatically let a fax go through without a problem. I still can’t get the fax to work.

It is inconceivable that I, consumer, end-user of this HP product, have to take time away from my most important tasks and start fumbling with it to get it working as it was supposed to do! And please don’t ask me to run HP Print and Scam Doctor, reinstall the software, go to those idiotic forums or call the (third parties) customer service. I already invested three hours in getting it running out of the box. You can start it right, but you will find yourself working for HP after a few windows updates! If you don’t have 24/7 IT department, please stay away from this product.

I have both deskjet and laserjet models and love the wireless features. I highly recommend HP and won’t buy anything else.
