Able to easily fit into smaller workspaces, the LaserJet Pro M227fdw All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer from HP still manages to deliver outstanding speed as well as a multi-functional design that incorporates printing, scanning, copying, and faxing into a single unit. It will help your office deliver sharp documents with its 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution and can work quickly and efficiently at up to 30 ppm in simplex. Automatic duplex printing is also available at up to 18 ipm and the printer has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC for various mobile printing protocols, including tap-to-print.
Opening the door for scanning, copying, and faxing is the inclusion of the 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed and a 35-sheet ADF that can work with media up to 8.5 x 14″ in size. General media handling is offered in two ways, either through the main 250-sheet input tray or a 10-sheet priority tray. Operation of the printer is intuitive through the 2.7″ touchscreen LCD and there is a front USB port for directly printing from or scanning to a portable drive. Additionally, it offers USB 2.0 and Ethernet, in addition to the wireless options.

From the moment I opened the box, and slid the printer out, it was evident that HP did this right! I had the printer up and running (with all features) right away. Easiest printer I have ever set up. Extremely glad I bought this printer, and I hope it lasts longer than the last HP Deskjet 8625 Pro, which only lasted 24 months.

This model M277fdw seems well made, easy wifi setup, however, beware that “duplex” just means 2 sided printing off of single sided/pass copying. Ugh! if you have say like us several pages of legal doc…have to take an image from each back side and copy and then reassemble to go from all 1 sided to then 2 sided PRINTING (only). Not good…takes forever. but except for that…okay.

Fine little copier/printer with an adequate, no-frills scanner. To be honest, I still haven’t set up the the control panel. Started to, but the the directions were a bit convoluted and lacking the time to fuss with, I’ve been running the scanner functions through pre-owned Paperport software. Perhaps this is a reason the scanner has slow “thinking time” before and during scans? But my biggest beef is learning this model is NOT Twain compliant, despite repeatedly asking and being assured that it is. Two different chatting sales-women (one simply sales-pushy, but the second one seemed knowledgeable) assured me that my need for Twain scanning would be met with this model. Very unhappy about this

Great machine. However the instructions regarding a wireless set up were not comprehensive enough. Had to call HP support, and after they did about 15 minutes of programming all was good.

Great all around small office printer, scanner, copier. Can’t go wrong with this one, since you get a lot of mileage on one ink cartridge, quiet and crisp print. Definitely would recommend and btw I bought two of them!

Needed a new printer…tried to find one as close to what I had as possible. (I hate change) It would be really nice if you found a way to not continuously change GUI’s. It is a hindrance to productivity to have to navigate through all the changes. Perhaps you could have two installations….”NEW FANCY WINDOWS AND CONTROLS” and “CLASSIC OLD FASHIONED LIKE YOU ARE USED TO SEEING” ….I do like it. You are not the only ones guilty of this. All in all HP produces a great product.

Hard to setup AirPrint without a hard wired connection. Also when you send a job to the printer when it’s in sleep mode, the printer does not automatically wake up. You have to manually do that every time to make sure it prints.

I bought this machine a few weeks ago. They promised 2 to 4 business days delivery but it was 7. It was extremely easy to set up and everything seems to be working fine. It is so new that I have no yet checked out all the features but, so far, everything works. My only complain is that no users manual was included. I had to go on line and down load it.

I thought I would stay loyal to the brand and purchased this mono MFP and it has broken down on me after only a few months. I will never ever purchase HP again.
