Able to easily fit into smaller workspaces, the LaserJet Pro M227fdw All-in-One Monochrome Laser Printer from HP still manages to deliver outstanding speed as well as a multi-functional design that incorporates printing, scanning, copying, and faxing into a single unit. It will help your office deliver sharp documents with its 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution and can work quickly and efficiently at up to 30 ppm in simplex. Automatic duplex printing is also available at up to 18 ipm and the printer has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC for various mobile printing protocols, including tap-to-print.
Opening the door for scanning, copying, and faxing is the inclusion of the 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed and a 35-sheet ADF that can work with media up to 8.5 x 14″ in size. General media handling is offered in two ways, either through the main 250-sheet input tray or a 10-sheet priority tray. Operation of the printer is intuitive through the 2.7″ touchscreen LCD and there is a front USB port for directly printing from or scanning to a portable drive. Additionally, it offers USB 2.0 and Ethernet, in addition to the wireless options.

This printer came in Monday and we still can’t get it to print reliably on any of our three printers. Also, it really sucks that HP DEMANDS that you sign up for a HP cloud account that you don’t need in order to use this, which is probably why it isn’t working right. Really disappointing and ready to send this back. We just need a printer, not a cloud computing lesson. And just in case you’re wondering what kind of doofus can’t get this working, I have a BSEE from the University of Illinois with a computer minor and have built my own computers from scratch, so….

I replaced my 8-year old HP printer with this model. As a CPA, I only print in B&W, so color printing and scanning issues are meaningless to me. This model does everything I need, and also does duplex printing. A great product at a great price.

I was reluctant at first to buy this product. First thing, my computer has no internal hard disk drive . Second, I am not so familiar with an online set up. Given this condition, I was afraid I might not be able to set up the printer online. I took the risk of doing it myself. The attempt paid off. IIt was a breeze . I was happy that I did it myself and I did not spend anything for the installation.

After researching several brands of printers and their options I found this to be the very best for my requirements. It starts up fast and once installed it is easy to operate. HP is known for it’s fine line of products and product support. For it’s relatively small size it has a lot of functionality.You will have to read the spec’s for all of the details, but for my budget it very much meets my needs and have recommended it to my sons.

This muti-trick monochome LaserJet replaced a 25-year-old LaserJet 4000 that WOULD. NOT. DIE. (That particular printer had replaced a 300ppi HP IIIP which was ALSO retired while still perfectly functional.) Finally we just had to weigh what a quality-of-life improvement a USB/network multitasker with wireless capability would be and took the plunge … spending a fraction of what those earlier printers had cost. And of course it was a breeze to set up — as it happens, I set most devices up online but, just to experiment, used the full CD procedure to set up on an older desktop. Interestingly, the apps installed were the ultimately same in function but slightly different in the two setups. But everything, and I cannot stress the importance of this enough, Just … works. The print quality is beautiful, the duplex printing is fast and seamless and the copy quality is good enough to also retire a small C_n_n portable copier we had also relied on for years. Even the somewhat maligned scanner works well enough for forms and documents, and the interfaces, both the CD and online-installed versions, are really easy to work with. So I guess this is the trade-off I can live with — yeah, it’s the dystopian future already and I never got the jet-pack I was promised … but laserprinters are SO much better and cheaper now. So that’s something, right?

This is the first printer that I had making copies in less than 15 minutes. It was well packed and took a few minutes to get it out the box and the wrapping off. Once it was un-packed and plugged in it was simple to do the wireless connection to the computer and smart phone . Thank you.

Working from home during the pandemic, I needed a printer/copier/scanner/fax at home that would be every bit as good as the work horses at my law office. However I did not want to spend a lot. This HP device works perfectly for my needs. The prints look clean and crisp. The copies come out reasonably quick. The scanner has dpi options, which I like. My only beef is I would like a bigger ADF. This ADF holds maybe 10-15 pages. But for the money, I am very pleased.

I have been a HP Laserjet customer since the early 1980s. Printers I have owned include the III, the 4 Plus, and the 4050. I would have recently bought the 428 except for incompatibility with Windows 7. The next best machine is the M227fdw. It performs admirably and has features that dazzle an old Laserjet III user like me. The name Hewlett-Packard is and always has been synonymous with quality.

So far this printer has performed well with no problems. Set-up on our wi-fi network was easy using the built-in Windows 11 printer settings (we bypassed the included install disk). The biggest problem with the printer is that the LCD screen is extremely small, and only those with the smallest fingers will be able to easily use it – it’s almost like they made the touch screen for child sized hands. We keep a pen pointy (like one you used to use on phones and tablets) to more easily use the screen. Otherwise, it’s a great printer.
