   I got this about 2 weeks ago, just to have one ready to use. I ordered this thinking because it was a better pice then anywhere close to it would take along time to get. Nope came ASAP. And they supply a return envelope for used cartridges. Awesome.

   I bought a new HP 4500 deskjet for Christmas. I set it up 12-27-10 and began to use it. Last night, 1-4-11, my low ink warning was displayed for my black ink. I hope that 9 days is not the typical length of time for a printer cartridge.

    I have a C4780 Photosmart HP Printer that uses 60 Black and also 60 Tricolor ink cartridges. I print 100’s of documents on a weekly basis and I buy a new cartridge about every 3-4 weeks. ( Color about 5-6 weeks unless I am doing High Quality prints for my wife’s Job) I usually just buy the combo pack because its cheaper and I know I will need the color one sooner or later anyways. Because of my Wife’s job or printing Photos I can always use an extra color cartridge. Anyway back to my Point, I use FAST DRAFT for my everyday documents and I usually get about 200-250 pgs per cartridge. I do know that if I switch to NORMAL I only get about 150 pgs.

    Always buy your ink from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and get a quality product. Don’t be surprised and cheated by those online stores that sell cheap and restock there shelves with empty returns without weighing or checking returned merchandise.

    My father and my friend recommended me this HP printer and I am so glad it comprises scan, photocopy and of course, printing. But it is very very very very very sad that the ink cartridge only last for a week. Can HP management or anybody do something or invent something that last longer for this printer????? Please.

    I will continue to purchase this product, but they need to offer a twin pack of the HP 60 black ink cartridge. They offer the twin pack with one colored and one black, but I use very little color and am constantantly purchasing more black. The twin pack should cost less than buying two individual black cartridges.

    I continue to rely on this HP 60 black ink cartridge for my HP printer. It is simple to remove the used cartridge and install the new cartridge. I can reply on a clear, clean printing. It is easy to order online, with free home delivery. I do wish the price of the cartridge was less.

    I, too, have purchased HP products. Everytime I replace a computer, I buy HP. I have been so faithful to this company with laptops and printers through the last ten years. However, this is the worst purchase I have ever made. This printer seems to eat ink. I replace the black cartridge weekly. 200 prints…NO WAY. I, too, tried draft, economical printing, and no help. I use this printer for every day printing. I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing it. I spend more in ink than I have ever in my life with this printer. Do not purchase any HP requiring this number 60 cartridge.
