   This is a replacement cartridge. What else can I say. I ran simultaneously ran out of three extended life colors in my HP 8600 so the fact that HP hasn’t discontinued making these makes them great.

   Yes, you can buy printer ink that isn’t HP, but I can guarantee you won’t get good-looking printer results. I’ve purchased ink from other “generic” non-HP vendors — and I’ve been sorely disappointed. No more! I want quality and for that quality, I go to HP. The HP ink lasts longer and the colors are much better. I may be old, but I’m not stupid!!!

    I ordered this cartridge and asked for 1 day shipping as I was very low on yellow. The cartridge arrived as scheduled on the next day and the following day, I ran out of yellow in the middle of a big travel job! Thank goodness the replacement cartridge had arrived so all I had to do was slap the replacement one in and finish my job!! Talk about perfect timing!
