Print, scan, copy, and fax all from the 7855 while enjoying inexpensive and automatic ink ordering since the printer is ready for HP’s Instant Ink Program. Printing is of the highest quality with a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. You can also enjoy improved productivity with ISO print speeds of up to 15 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color. Automatic duplexing is available for two-sided printing and you can use either a 125-sheet main tray or 15-sheet photo tray depending on the type of media being used.
With USB 2.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE connectivity built-in you should find it incredibly easy to setup wherever you may want it. When networked, you can connect directly to the printer from a mobile device, making it easy to print photos right from your smartphone. For scanning, copying, and faxing, the 7855 is equipped with a 35-sheet 8.5 x 14″ ADF and an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed, both with an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. Additionally, the printer offers a 2.65″ touchscreen for intuitive control as well as a USB port and SD card slot for direct printing from and scanning to portable storage devices.

The printer is great. Works with our iPhones & iPad also, as the old one didn’t. Only complaint I have is that the output tray that auto extends does not retract automatically. Since it sticks out farther on the printer, you are more likely to bump into it and break it. Although we can manually push it back in (there is some resistance), it would be better if it automatically retracted after the print job.

I bought this a few weeks ago. At first I had some trouble with printing, but turns out the HP computer I bought at the same time had issues that caused connectivity issues with other devices. I figured once that was taken care of the printer would work. I was wrong. The printer doesn’t work properly with any of my applications set up to print. It prints pages out of order and prints partial pages, cancels and starts over a few minutes later…..Still only printing partial pages when it starts over. The ink cartridges I have are nearly out due to the reprinting. I’ve also attempted to print a couple of photos and the printer does the same thing, partially prints the photo, stops, starts again, prints another partial, stops, might print the whole thing but now I’ve wasted a ton of ink as well as 4 pages of photo paper and a lot of time. I would have rated the features much higher if any of them actually worked.

I bought this last year as sometimes you need to print documents at home to avoid running by the office, because who wants to go to work on their day off. In reality I’d rather go to the office on my day off to print off documents than attempt to get this printer to work. Between general errors, just outright refusing to print from any device in the house, constantly believing it is out of paper when full, and genuine ink cartridges that dry up faster than a toad left in the desert during daylight hours. I can’t say the value of this printer is worth more than its weight in recyclable plastics or the joy it will bring me when I finally get fed up enough to take a sledgehammer to it in the yard.

I wanted to only use the scan to PC function and FAX… however the printer would not set up without installing the ink. Why must I open up the ink and dry it out if I do not plan on using the printer at this time. Seems to be a ploy to make you buy more ink.
