It never prints when I need it to. Every time I have spent 1+ hours getting it connected to my computer to print, it prints one time then the next time it prints part of a page, never prints or errors out. I bought this to replace an old printer and I detest it! The HP smart app will say it’s connected but my computer photo software says the printer is online… and it takes a massive amount of work to reinstall with repeated errors. If I could return it I would, but I took too long. Will likely throw it in the trash and buy a different brand.

It’s just ok. Software loading is very confusing. To bad you don’t make a simple printer for home use.

I have used this printer several times since purchasing it and it has worked flawlessly each and every time. The images and pictures are of great quality and is easy to operate. The settings easily let you know when paper or ink is needed.

I love the printer but I only get to print about 25 copies per ink cartridge. I honestly thought I would get more prints

A friend of mine purchased one of these for important work to replace an OfficeJetPro8600. The newer model Pros don’t have an SD card reader, so this was selected. Touch screens are so hard to use, but I get that they are less expensive that physical buttons. This lost a star because it is so small, my friend needed to use a magnifying glass to see the pictures to select from SD card. SD Card hard to access Need to Loose the door…. The fact that it had the SD card makes this neutral We had to go with this model because printing from an SD card is a major part of the workflow. Printing multiple images on one page is important to us. We may have been spoiled by the 8600 that can print many on the same page… The UI keeps telling us to insert small photopaper… but we really want it on the 8.5×11 paper. When installing on a Mac, the software failed to install and it redownloaded the software again, and failed to download again. We had slow DSL. The Scanner software is what failed to install… but it made us re-download all of the software. This took an hour. I told it not to download the scanner software and it worked… then I tried to download only the scanner software using the HP dumb tool… and it needed the printer to connect to the internet to just download the basic scanner software. This is not OK. This is minus a star. I generally don’t mind this printer for a low-usage-user (replacing all the ink when it dries up is typically cheaper for small printers when people only print a couple times per year).. but since we were searching for a higher volume printer and those were not available… I and the earlier neutral… that is the 3rd star lost. The size is nice. I think the ADF looks promising… The fax buttons are hard for seniors to use.. The software install is the only truly bad part… Everything else could be neutral or no big deal. (I personally don’t do much with the touch screens)

Its a very nice printer but the ink tends to run out pretty fast. My previous printer seemed to go at least two months with ink cartridges, and this one was out of ink in two weeks. I’m not even printing large amounts of items either. I purchased the XL ink hoping that the first cartridges were light because they came with the printer. I may changed my mind after using the new cartridges.

I bought this to replace a broken down Canon MX922 printer. The HP was very fast to setup, the printing is much faster than my Canon, and the interface with Apple products (air print) was flawless. I’ve been using for a week now and no complaints at all.

No instructions for set-up. Have to do it online. Need to come up with a better way of setting up a second computer. Should have the account sign-in option available at the beginning instead of going through the sign-in process and then saving the account already has sign-in and starting over again.

We just got this printer but we have already printed great pictures from our phones. It is very easy to set up and use and the quality is very good. My teenage kids love this printer.

I had some difficulty printing envelopes until my wife pointed out to me when I was trying to feed the envelopes into the printer using the photo tray. As soon as I took the paper out and saw the envelope illustrations and put the envelope in the correct location it worked perfectly.

We have purchased at least 5 printers for home over the years, one for our church and one for a local 501(c)3 organization. Can’t imagine not having one. Even when we had one that we had to replace after 18 months and one that “died” after 30 days.
