Print, scan, copy, and fax all from the 7855 while enjoying inexpensive and automatic ink ordering since the printer is ready for HP’s Instant Ink Program. Printing is of the highest quality with a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. You can also enjoy improved productivity with ISO print speeds of up to 15 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color. Automatic duplexing is available for two-sided printing and you can use either a 125-sheet main tray or 15-sheet photo tray depending on the type of media being used.
With USB 2.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE connectivity built-in you should find it incredibly easy to setup wherever you may want it. When networked, you can connect directly to the printer from a mobile device, making it easy to print photos right from your smartphone. For scanning, copying, and faxing, the 7855 is equipped with a 35-sheet 8.5 x 14″ ADF and an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed, both with an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. Additionally, the printer offers a 2.65″ touchscreen for intuitive control as well as a USB port and SD card slot for direct printing from and scanning to portable storage devices.

I got this printer for free and used and abused it for several days in order to give a proper review. Getting the printer for free had no effect on my review. The printer was packaged well and was not damaged upon arrival. The look of the printer is modern and clean. The printer works well with printing both photos and documents. My favorite feature is the ability to automatically order ink when it runs out because I print a LOT of things as a homeschooling parent. The scanner also functions well. It performs basically the same as any other HP printer I`ve owned. With normal everyday use it would last a good while with ink and general durability. I decided to test it and print about 100 pages at once for a workbook. It started getting loud and grinding noises were coming from it, but still printed perfectly front and back. The front and back option is a little slower than my laser printer, though. For this type of printer, it is excellent. If I hadn`t got it for free, I`d probably buy one after trying it. It seems very well made, prints very clear photos and documents, and is going to be easy for anyone to use from a computer or your phone.

Bought this printer about a month ago so far everything seem to work well. set up just fine with the computer. The only thing is when printing more than one sheet it seem like it’s a little slow and has to thing about what it is that printing. Lots of neat features very good home printer.

Printer locks up during printing job. Have to unplug and restart in order to proceed. Print job has to restart from beginning and even then printer sometimes locks up. Troubleshooting comes up with ‘no paper installed’ when there is paper installed. Very disgusting.

Features and everything are great although I was unaware that you needed to set up some kind of pin to email from the unit and I tried once to use the email a photo function to print but that didn’t work I didn’t try again back. I am in the more ink program, which is a big savings I don’t like the restrictions that come with it but it comes with paying cheaper prices for ink and I never have to worry about it, they send them ahead of time. With that being said the unit itself there’s a small strip on the front there are two pieces that disconnect the tray and the front of the tray the front part of the tray falls off often and it’s very annoying also the app has a bunch of issues with it sometimes it doesn’t print the way my settings were set. Other times it constantly says that the printers out of paper and it’s never out of paper it doesn’t seem to hinder any of my needs but it is also annoying and a daily reminder of such a flaw you would think they would have fixed it by now. Other than that the products that they produced are excellent I use regular HP photo paper nothing fancy and they come out beautiful I do highly recommend the unit

When I received it I put it right to work, unfortunately I started getting a line down the page when I printed something that was a pdf file. Which totally surprised me to have something happen on the third day of use. I had to do the usual send the challenging printer back and wait for them to send a new on upon receipt of the printer I has to send back. I did receive the new one a week later. I’m really glad they shipped out so fast. I had a big report that needed to be turned in. I explained what happen so they extended me a week. And the new printer came just in time. I have used HP products for years, and when I try to buy a cheaper other product I run into more challenges and so I end up going right back to HP. They are now always my go to company for all my computer needs.

This is a great printer. It has the added feature of a photo tray for printing photographs. Regular printing is a breeze. Very user friendly and setup was fast and easy. Wireless printing with the HP smart app is great. My opinion, best printer for home use. Cost was reasonable.

I’ve been printing with PC and Mac capable printers since the early 80s. This printer is, by far, the best printer I have ever used. The setup was fast and easy. I have an iMac and iPhone and my wife has a Windows PC, a MacBookPro, and and iPhone and they all get along very well with this printer. I’ve used nearly every brand of printer available since the 80s (I am a retired Network Administrator who took care of over 1000 desktop and laptop PCs, fifty switches and routers, many hundreds of network and individual printers, and over seventy servers both virtual and not. I am sure this printer will do well for me over the years. .

HP products are generally easy to install. This Envy printer would not install. My computer would see the printer but the printer would not join my network wirelessly. I ended up having to slow my router speed for the printer to install properly. It took two days for me to figure out. I actually requested a return label to send it back. HP should have better network cards that can handle faster wifi speeds.
