This is my 2nd Envy Photo 7855. I love that it does what the other on would not. Scan to email right from the printer and makes super great copies. Wish I would have replaced the other one sooner, saved me a LOT of frustration!

For those of us aging senior citizens, trying to install printer without a manual is a challenge. On line instructions just don’t cut it!

It fit’s nicely into an enclosed cabinet onto a sliding wood base. I have to pull it out to lift the cover and access the flat screen scanner and I cannot fully open the cover so have to hold it. I have easy access to the auto doc feeder with out lifting the lid. Due to the cabinet enclosure, I had to have a USB port on the front. I use a zip drive to store my pdf scans and this machine has a good scanner. The USB is behind a push open cover on the left front. Can’t see the port in low light and being in the cabinet makes it even more difficult. My last scanner gave me the option to name the saved pdf’s but the 7855 does not give me that option. At least not easily apparent. It connected quickly to my home wifi and prints color and b & w surprisingly fast. I like the touchscreen control panel. Good machine and I’m happy with it and the price I paid.

I am tickled with this purchase. I recently purchased this machine and it so far has been a great addition to my bank of printers. I have not explored all of its capabilities yet but each new thing I learn about it makes me more certain I made the right choice!

The printer prints out good quality color pictures and is a fraction of the cost to bring them to my local printing company.

I hate this printer, I turn off double sided and it still does it. I have to print 1 page at a time. its a long process.

This is such an upgrade from my previous printers. Not only does it have awesome features, the price is unbeatable. And the ink program simplifies regular maintenance.

I bought this product to add to my printer choices at home since my Mac’s capabilities were beyond my printer’s. So this new printer HP ENVY 7855 can do everything I ask it to do.

I bought the Envy 7855 to replace an HP 8450 that lasted over 10 years. I did a lot of research and it appears that people who give it low ratings have difficulty setting it up; I found it simple and straight forward. Connected it to an iMac, MacBook Pro, 2 iPhones, and 2 iPads within 30 minutes. Prints from all devices with no issues. As a photographer, I was looking for an all in one to mostly print documents and an occasion photo. Printed a greyscale photo of an old wedding photo from70 years ago from Photoshop; despite the minimum options for printing, the resulting print had no color cast and looked like what was on my computer screen Amazing! Signed up for the instant ink program. We’!! see how that goes but I am not expecting any issues.

This was an untypically disappointing HP experience. Their attempts to simplify setup have become more awkward over the years (i.e – web-based software interrogation of systems to auto-load drivers etc.) Many steps poorly documented between online and very limited documentation-provided. It was buggy as well. That said, once it was done, this is a nicely-featured printer. In the case of this unit, it had an intermittent hardware gear grinding noise at power-up and paper feeds. I spent hours researching this online (both globally and at HP support sites, then two days with HP tech support to convince them it really was a hardware problem. They are finally now sending a replacement unit. I have several HP printers and usually choose them for dependability, paper handling superiority, and longevity. I hope they have not compromised these attributes.

I bought my HP printer because my friends recommended them. Now I regret it. Scanning documents has stopped working; we had to hand address our Christmas letter envelopes because our new printer wouldn’t recognize a #10 envelope size. Duplex printing? It doesn’t. For handling these kinds of problems you can’t determine where to start. HP Smart is a waste of time.
