Print, scan, copy, and fax all from the 7855 while enjoying inexpensive and automatic ink ordering since the printer is ready for HP’s Instant Ink Program. Printing is of the highest quality with a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. You can also enjoy improved productivity with ISO print speeds of up to 15 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color. Automatic duplexing is available for two-sided printing and you can use either a 125-sheet main tray or 15-sheet photo tray depending on the type of media being used.
With USB 2.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE connectivity built-in you should find it incredibly easy to setup wherever you may want it. When networked, you can connect directly to the printer from a mobile device, making it easy to print photos right from your smartphone. For scanning, copying, and faxing, the 7855 is equipped with a 35-sheet 8.5 x 14″ ADF and an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed, both with an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. Additionally, the printer offers a 2.65″ touchscreen for intuitive control as well as a USB port and SD card slot for direct printing from and scanning to portable storage devices.

This is my second HP Printer. The first one lasted 8 years and just had to be replaced a month ago. I’ve had this printer for about a month now and so far it’s working perfectly. Setup was easy via following instructions in the HP mobile app. I used the supplied photo paper to print a few pics from my iphone and came out better than expected. The printer is quick to respond and the printing speed is quite fast. I’ve printed about a dozen pages so far so can’t speak for ink longevity. The unit itself feels well made and strurdy.

My HP OfficeJet 5740 developed a hardware problem with the color cartridge a couple of weeks ago, and HP techs steered me to the HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One as a very comparable printer, and a good replacement for my OfficeJet. Thus far, I am happy with the ENVY. The one thing I liked better about the OfficeJet compared to the ENVY, however, is that upon pressing the power button to turn off the OfficeJet, it defaulted to shutting down, whereas the ENVY defaults to sleep mode. Small point. Overall, I like the ENVY just fine.

Bought this to replace 5 year old 7520 because of the great HP sale. Several improvements to include Ethernet connection, fewer ink cartridges, more photo tray selections, compact size (duplexing unit built in, not sticking out the back of unit). The doc feeder on the 7520 has a flip up cover that made it look classier and the usb and sd slots were easier to access – not behind a flip open door. Screen on 7855 should have been same size as 7520 instead of smaller.

WiFi works well and the printer is rather quiet. Great print quality and relatively easy set-up. Set-up works fine, but it would be beneficial to have a printed outline of the process in the box that at least states the steps in the online setup process.

I have owned many HP printers, but this one is terrible. It will NOT fit legal size paper. It goes “offline” to save energy which means when I want to print from the next room, I need to unplug/replug multiple times to get it back online. I have kept this for 1 year, but once I can buy a new printer I will trash this one.
