Print, scan, copy, and fax all from the 7855 while enjoying inexpensive and automatic ink ordering since the printer is ready for HP’s Instant Ink Program. Printing is of the highest quality with a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. You can also enjoy improved productivity with ISO print speeds of up to 15 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color. Automatic duplexing is available for two-sided printing and you can use either a 125-sheet main tray or 15-sheet photo tray depending on the type of media being used.
With USB 2.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE connectivity built-in you should find it incredibly easy to setup wherever you may want it. When networked, you can connect directly to the printer from a mobile device, making it easy to print photos right from your smartphone. For scanning, copying, and faxing, the 7855 is equipped with a 35-sheet 8.5 x 14″ ADF and an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed, both with an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. Additionally, the printer offers a 2.65″ touchscreen for intuitive control as well as a USB port and SD card slot for direct printing from and scanning to portable storage devices.

Set Up: I have been searching for the right printer for me for a long time so I participated in a market research study and received this product to evaluate. Setting up this printer was fairly simple. I will say, if you are not a tech person, this printer can be a bit overwhelming. I did not have any issue with the set up since I am pretty tech savvy. For instance, after plugging in the printer, the screen begins to prompt you on what to do. The screen told me to go to a website either on my computer or any smart device to complete the set up. I opted to use my phone for set up since I am very well versed on how to navigate it over my computer. I downloaded an app called HP smart. I did have some trouble getting the printer to calibrate which is one of the steps in the set up. I ended up having to contact customer service (which i was able to do from the app thru Facebook messenger…awesome feature!) They were prompt in assisting me on how to reset the printer. Once i did that the set up was completed and it began printing immediately! I would definitely say the set up was easy and relatively painless. Use: Once set up, I have been able to print directly from my phone. I hooked up my google drive to the app and am able to print my documents off my phone! This has seriously been a lifesaver a couple times as I realized I needed a form printed and didn`t have access to my laptop (i left it at my work!). The printer is very fast and is extremely quiet! I actually have no issues with any of the use so far. The app is helpful with watching the toner levels so i know when i need to order new cartridges before they actually run out. I ended up also setting the printer up with my laptop so that i had the option to print from either device. Set up was simple and the speed in which the printer receives the printing order is crazy. The moment i hit print the printer has already started to retrieve paper to complete the document. The printer is a little bulky for my liking, but the effectiveness and the quality have easily made up for that issue. I have used MANY other printers and often end up feeling dissatisfied with my purchase and rarely end up printing at home since i feel printing whatever i need at work ends up being much simpler. I have the complete opposite feeling now! I have already found myself printing whatever i need without a second thought. I absolutely love the app set up with my phone and would highly recommend this printer to everyone! If you are looking for a printer that is quiet, efficient and provides high quality results, i would suggest this printer hands down. I finally feel like i found the printer for my fast paced lifestyle and i cant wait to keep using it.

Overall, I’m pleased with this printer. However, it does take some getting accustomed to its idiosyncrasies. It seems a bother to always have to SAVE the document before printing can occur. It just seems too many extra steps prior to printing a simple document. However, I do like this printer. One question is why the warning continues to show indicating the photo paper drawer is empty. Strange when I’m not processing a photo.

I bought this to print family photos and I’m disappointed. Pictures quality isn’t as good as I expected. I’m using high quality hp photo paper, on “best” setting. When I have it set to fill the page, it still adds a border. It’s been a little frustrating to figure out.

Difficulty installing the ink cartridges, took 3 tries to get it right. Another problem area was installing the HpSmart software on iPhones and installing the full suite on a laptop. After multiple tries I eventually succeeded.
