Maybe the installation program need a more plug and play. Spent a lot of time try to resolve this, but can’t. I am a computer programmer. So for average user that is too hard. All my other device, just plug and play. So why hp cannot do that?

I had a Photosmart printer for 15 years, and it finally died. The ENVY 7855 out performs the Photosmart many times over, and the ink system is far superior. HP did it again.

So far I am pleased with this printer. It does everything I need it to do. Vague instructions for setup but a few google searches solved my problems.

this printer is fine if you can get it to work. i had it up and running perfectly, even on bluetooth, when i couldn’t get the scanner to work. i was told to reset the printing capabilities, and now my Mac can’t find the darn printer. shouldn’t it be easier than this? not all of us are tech experts!!!

The most important feature of the set up instructions was saving paper for HP. This is not a simple machine to set up and deserves much more detailed and iterative instructive. very disappointing and gets the customers off to a very disappointing start with the machine

It’s a good printer, I haven’t expermented with it a lot, yet. It’s noisy. How do I get my warranty?

Good printer, but the set-up took a long time and was a lot of work. The required software down loads are not intuitive and left out A LOT of information that was needed to complete the printer set-up. Even a day after the set-up was supposedly complete, we still had more do to, and it was not at all obvious what it was. Also, the printer was dependent on both its own restart/reset and the computer’s restart/reset – which none of the documentation mentioned. It works well and does excellent quality and printing. It’s just a lot of work and time in a non-user friendly environment set-up.

If I had known this printer is such poor quality I never, ever would have purchased. It has dropped items in the middle of printing, some times it prints and every other page is blank, the color is awful (even after I install new cartridges), the flimsy plastic paper trays stick and will break easily. I have been an HP customer for 20 years. I’m very disappointed and will probably try a different brand next time I buy a printer. That time is coming soon.

I have had this set up for about a week only bummer was you don’t get a lot of ink in the cartridges they give you. You also will get a “no paper” alert if you don’t put photo paper in which is annoying until you do that. I love it though prints faster than old printer and you have lots of options.

I bought this printer to replace the one that got damaged after several years. I like the envy photo printer. It does everything that I need a printer to do. It is fast and reliable.

Cost doesn’t equal quality of product

The size of the HP Envy Photo is small, and yet this printer can put out a serious production of material. I am a college professor and I easily print out handouts and copies of the PowerPoint slides I use in my lectures. It is handy for copying, printing, scanning and even faxing.

I bought it a couple of months ago to replace a printer that stopped working and the document feeder had already died. I’m very pleased with the new one.

I was worried from a few reviews, super simple set up. This has been a little work horse since starting homeschooling. Worth the money! I love the hp ink reminds so ink will just get delivered!! This printer has become my best friend!!

I like the features but it is lacking the ability to expand or sharing a photo. So I find that it is lacking what I asked for when ordering.
