Print, scan, copy, and fax all from the 7855 while enjoying inexpensive and automatic ink ordering since the printer is ready for HP’s Instant Ink Program. Printing is of the highest quality with a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. You can also enjoy improved productivity with ISO print speeds of up to 15 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color. Automatic duplexing is available for two-sided printing and you can use either a 125-sheet main tray or 15-sheet photo tray depending on the type of media being used.
With USB 2.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE connectivity built-in you should find it incredibly easy to setup wherever you may want it. When networked, you can connect directly to the printer from a mobile device, making it easy to print photos right from your smartphone. For scanning, copying, and faxing, the 7855 is equipped with a 35-sheet 8.5 x 14″ ADF and an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed, both with an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. Additionally, the printer offers a 2.65″ touchscreen for intuitive control as well as a USB port and SD card slot for direct printing from and scanning to portable storage devices.

I have used the HP smart program for years to manage various HP Printers. Half the time, the HP Smart program cannot find the devices, even when they are on the same hardwired network segment. So in my experience, the HP smart program barely works. Now HP makes us log into HP accounts in order to use the features on machines that are sitting right next to us. This creates holes in our secure networks and basically makes bad bloated software worse. On top of that HP removed features from their scanning editor and now I cannot rotate the images. I am tired of wasting my life with what has become bloatware, are there any alternatives to this software that actually work? Or is it time to switch printer companies?

Bought this for home use to replace an older hp printer. The new one is perfect for our use! Set up was a breeze! Prints documents nicely and photos are good quality with accurate colors! Got the automatic cartridge replacement so now we don’t even have to monitor ink useage. Cartridges just show up in the mail! That’s great! We love it!

60 photo sheets + 1 Color Starter Cartridge (Included) + 2 XL Color Cartridges = 26 pieces of trash. The printer is more likely to cancel the print job after it starts, than actually finishing it on the first try. And it will cancel just after starting and ruining expensive paper to almost done and wasting a lot of ink to boot. It will then take about 5 minutes to cancel the job; no indication it’s doing anything for another 3-5 minutes; before it will finally restart the print job; where it may or may not fully print. The record was 3 cancels in a row. And this is all through a wired connection with firmware and all updates in place. Restarting, rebooting, reconnecting, disconnecting, reinstalling, and praying it just works like it should all pointless. It’s just a horribly made printer as other reviewers have warned about. DO. NOT. BUY.

I purchased this printer to replace an all in one photosmart C6280 that got hit by a power surge when our house got hit by lightning. The quality of the print and photos is extremely good and uses less ink than the older printer used. The WiFi works great on the unit and allows the printer to be put in a more secure area. I was worried that it wouldn’t be as good as the old printer but, have been pleasantly surprised by the ENVY Photo performance.
