Print, scan, copy, and fax all from the 7855 while enjoying inexpensive and automatic ink ordering since the printer is ready for HP’s Instant Ink Program. Printing is of the highest quality with a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. You can also enjoy improved productivity with ISO print speeds of up to 15 ppm in black and 10 ppm in color. Automatic duplexing is available for two-sided printing and you can use either a 125-sheet main tray or 15-sheet photo tray depending on the type of media being used.
With USB 2.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE connectivity built-in you should find it incredibly easy to setup wherever you may want it. When networked, you can connect directly to the printer from a mobile device, making it easy to print photos right from your smartphone. For scanning, copying, and faxing, the 7855 is equipped with a 35-sheet 8.5 x 14″ ADF and an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed, both with an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. Additionally, the printer offers a 2.65″ touchscreen for intuitive control as well as a USB port and SD card slot for direct printing from and scanning to portable storage devices.

I bought this because my previous printer only had one paper tray and kept disconnecting itself from my home’s WiFi so I would have to disconnect the printer from its power source, reconnect it and then re-establish the WiFi network every time I wanted to print from my cellphone, tablet or laptop…to say the least, I hated to use it, and now with my new HP Envy Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer all the issues I was having before are all history and I don’t have to worry about remembering what paper I have installed in my printer before I send a photo from any of my multiple mobile devices. PRINTER SETUP: Setup on my laptop took some time. I did the full software download and took about 15 minutes. Not too bad, but could have been quicker. It was a smooth installation with no issues to report. Setup on my iPhone/iPad was easier and I used the HP Smart App which made printing simple from a wireless device. PRINTING/SCANNING/COPYING DOCUMENTS: Printing (Word Doc) speed was initially slow for some reason, but now seems to be quicker. The print quality is high and the black ink is vibrant. I was able to scan a document and easily locate it on computer. Copying was quick and easy with the touch screen. The copy was very good quality, with no smudging or visible lines that I have experienced with other printers. PHOTO PRINTING: Easy photo printing from iPhone/iPad and computer. Striking colors resulted, with the smaller prints having the best quality. I printed a larger full page photo, and could see vertical lines throughout photo spaced about every half inch. These vertical lines were not visible on small photos and the small ones were very impressive. Generally I print smaller photos, so this quality difference was not a huge issue for me. I like the feature of being able to insert a memory card or connect a USB device – I tried the memory card and it inserted smoothly and photos were simple to print. FAVORITE FEATURE: Wireless printing, and high print quality for most part. COULD BE IMPROVED UPON: Touch screen was a nice feature, but was difficult to scroll through. Often would hit something I didn`t mean to touch. Also, tried the Wi Fi Direct where you should be able to connect to printer without connecting to wireless network, and I had difficulty. My device was asking for a printer password which I had a hard time finding. Print quality of large photos needs to be improved. OVERALL: I like the printer overall and found it easy to set up and adequate for home office use as well as photo printing – I have no need for two printers for personal home/ business use and that is a good thing. This all in one printer is sufficient for all my needs.

I am pleased with the size, price and quality of printing of my HP ENVY Printer but disappointed it did not come with a CD for downloading and installation. After a few hours was able to install but now having a problem with fax interfering with incoming calls. When people call they get fax signal instead of answering machine.

I bought this because it was one of the few printers left to buy in this price range during the height of COVID. I wished I had waited. I have used HP Printers, for 20 years. I have always liked them. This printer though, used a ton of ink and it is very expensive. It is also very noisy, Just to fill the paper tray the printer has to readjust itself, its almost the same noise and adjustment it makes when you replace an ink cartridge. It almost never reads that there is still about 5 sheets of paper still left in the tray, it says its out of paper and won’t print. Also the tray does not hold a lot of paper, and the paper tray is very clunky and hard to use. I would not recommend this printer.
