Not sure what the deal is with this USB key, but transfer speeds both read and write were terrible. I was using this to store FLAC files connected to my router to play over my SONOS network. Drop outs every 30 seconds. Complete trash. Replaced with it with a comparable Lexar USB key and no more problems. Avoid this one. B&H was great about it though – offered me a refund right away, no questions. I really appreciate that.

Extremely slow file transfer and also has a hard time disconnecting from the computer. I once tried to shut down the computer to get it to disconnect, only to find that when I plugged it into another computer, that computer said it could not read the drive, luckily when I put it back in the first computer, that it would not disconnect from, the drive was recognized and it completed what ever it was trying to do and I could use the drive again. The thumb drive went right back to its extremely. slow file transfer performance. I plan on moving all the files off of it and trashing it because I am afraid that I will not be able to get my files off of it and it really is not useful the way that it performs.

I ordered this pen drive a lot because of the price comparison with SanDisk , when I started to use it then found so slow, takes time to eject.
