This printer is a replacement for an aging CM2320nf. Highlights: Same feature set as CM2320nf, smaller form factor, single pass duplex scanning from autoloader (wow!), auto-duplex printing (wow!), WiFi printing without using local WLAN, emailed printjobs, improved PC-based management software (Win7 64). Lowlights: Awful out-of-the-box documentation, terrible experience installing management software on Win10 64. I recommend this printer for anyone on Win 7. I cannot say the same for Win 10. YMMV.

The thing works fine, finally. I had to spend 4 1/2 hours on the telephone to get it working, esp the scanner. Frustrating and ridiculous.

There’s always debate over laserjet vs inkjet. I am no expert but have vast experience with both and in my opinion, they both get the job done. What it comes down to is speed, quality and longevity. Inkjets are slow, use tons of resources and typically go bad after a few years (if you regularly print). The constant cleaning of the heads and alignment procedures just waste ink. Laserjet is fast, reliable and durable. Pay the little extra cost up front and get the quality from day 1. This machine gets the job done, prints great (every time) and is fast. The connectivity is simple and its ready to go right out of the box.

Extremely easy to set up. I cannot believe how quiet it is.

Purchased to replace existing LaserJet 475dn. Other than some minor issues with device recognition and an occasional lockup which is cured by turning off and on, it is far superior to the 475. Slightly faster, more features, reduced usage of toner cartridges, noise reduction, and greater communication which printer. I also added the 550 sheet tray which was seamless in installation. Other than the minor software issues, I rate this at 95%

Do not buy this machine. Will not print from word.

I bought the printer which was very good deal but it is not printing!

“Scan to email” – not working. “Scan to USB” – prompts to insert USB drive even though it’s there, then restarts if unplugged. Network printing – have to restart the printer for each usage. Configuring using IP – not working (yes, I KNOW how to setup IP).

Very quiet, quick and excellent quality. However it is mean to automatically do 2-sided copying- this means the user does not need to take the paper from the feeder and re-insert it in the paper tray. My IT specialist was not able to get this to work automatically and I spent an hour and a half on the phone with HP support to get this problem resolved. This should not be the case- that software and that modification should be loaded by default since the copier is sold with this feature.

After a lengthy review of laser color printers, I settled on the HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw and am so happy with my choice. The printer provides all the functions I need and is amazingly intuitive and easy to operate. The print quality and speeds are more than acceptable. Congratulations HP. You nailed this one.

59 F0 error in 6 months, and I have to buy a new one

The necessary HDMI cord was n to included with the product and the direction and online directions are not explicit that an Ethernet plug in or a router are necessary for the printer to work “wirelessly”

The printer is way quieter and prints faster than the printer it replaced. We do have an issue with the document feeder for scanning: the scans are always crooked and we have tried everything to troubleshoot that issue. One feature I miss is that when scanning to my network folder, the printer does not allow an option for multiple scans to the network folder, thus having to go through the entire menu again for each scan. If it were not for those two things, I would have rated this printer as excellent.

We bought one of these in 2019 and another one in 2020, primarily so we could share the over-priced toner. The first one went down early this year (streaks on pages), cost to repair exceeds value of printer. The second one is now having same issue.

Needed a printer/scanner. I was very impressed with how easy it was to set up and so far it has worked great. Set up using wireless. I tried all of the features I would use, duplexing, scanning two sided, etc. and it all worked great.

Great print quality. The computer software is set up to use the third paper tray, but the firmware in the printer is not. Its like paper tray 3 does not exist in the printers on board settings. It seems like HP could do a firm ware update to add tray 3 features to the printer menu. Printer does not print borderless.

Only 2 days into this but very easy to install, connect, download drivers, clean clear copies and printing, (and so far no problems with twisted crooked lines which was mentioned in some other reviews, and works fine on Mac which was cautioned on other earlier reviews) but I still need just a drop of help to print black & white only as I don’t see that on the print screen.

I’ve bought this a month ago and am so glade that I did.

Pros – This printer works great and functions well. There is even an additional tray you can purchase which holds more paper. Con – When you load the paper trays with legal paper the drawers don’t close, leaving the drawer sticking 2″ past the front of the printer. Great way to collect things and takes up space! Very poor design.
