I was immediately impressed by the weight of this flashlight. It is quite heavy and reminds me of some other heavy well-made flashlight brands that I have used over the years. This flashlight uses 6 AA batteries instead of the typical 2-3 C or D cell batteries. I appreciate this as we keep large amounts of AA and AAA batteries in our home but hardly ever keep C or D cell batteries around. I’m sure this is to get a high enough voltage for the LEDs. The battery cap is easy to remove with a large rubber grip. The cap also contains the power switch and it is heavily protected by the rubber. The batteries are held in a slide out holder and are easy to install into the holder. It has 3 modes of operation, beam, flood, and spot+flood. The flood is supplied by an LED ring near the lens while the spot is provided by an LED emitter in the traditional location. The modes are cycled through by cycling the power switch off and then back on in the following pattern: off – spot+flood – off – spot – off – flood – off. I did find it somewhat annoying that you have to turn it off between modes; however you can cycle through the modes without fully clicking the power button allowing you to quickly select the mode you want. I was very satisfied by the brightness of this flashlight. I can easily light up the tops of my neighbor’s trees over 300 feet away and 50 feet up across my property when in spotlight mode. The flood light mode is also quite bright and for close up work it provides nigh coverage without a super bright spot, which I found is good for lighting up a good size work area without glare. Additionally, I found that if fits the clips in my truck meant for my 4 cell Maglite. Usually when a product says it is “unbreakable” I take it with a grain of salt, but with this flashlight I cannot think of anything within reason I could do to it to break it. It’s water resistant, drop proof, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it survived being run over by my truck with no more than a few scratches. Overall I am extremely happy with the this flashlight and considering purchasing 2 more, 1 for my RV, and 1 to permanently leave in my truck.

Puts out a good amount of light for the price. Would rate it better if the battery life was longer. Still it’s a bargain if you’re in a pinch.

Bought it just in time for the recent storm event where we lost power for six days. Worked like a charm.

The name and description gave the impression that one could “switch” between beam sizes.

My husband basically collects flashlights, as soon as a new one comes of the market with more lumens he has to have it. He loves this flashlight, and has replaced the other one he kept in his truck with this one. Very sturdy and heavy duty, good weight and several different settings from beam to spot to a combo of the two. It fits in the console in his truck so always ready for emergencies.

I needed a strong focused light to be able to see beyond 50′ at night. This flashlight is powerful enough to satisfy the need. It’s also solid as a rock.

Liked that the needed batteries came with the flashlight. Haven’t used it yet but it seems to be a comfortable fit in my hand and not heavy.

I thought when people complained about this being heavy they were just a little wimpy. This is the heaviest flashlight I’ve ever held. I thought this had a focusable beam but it doesn’t. It is a decent light, has a strange flood light option. Mainly purchased because you can use 6 AA batteries which are a lot cheaper then C batteries. Not recommended for women. However it is a good weapon if needed.
