Surprisingly the first use of the pvc pliers was for anything but PVC. I had a bulb stuck in an outdoor light fixture in which the socket would spin. I tried everything and then a clever option came into play and that was the curvature of the pvc pliers. I was able to reach in the tight constraints between the glass light shade and the bulb, to hold the socket. Worked like a charm! As for pvc use, it was even better yet. This is the first tool I’ve used which will grab it firmly and not tear the pvc pipe while using it. The handle comfort is great, and the gripping power very good. The only issue was grabbing larger 4 inch pvc pipe, as the handle is extended at a wide wider range. The larger the pipe, the more holding power you need, and the pliers worked somewhat opposite to what you need. Great grip on smaller pipe with the handle close together and less of a grip on a larger pipe, however it still outperformed anything else I’ve used. Obviously larger hands will handle that issue with no problems at all.
