Every home toolbox needs a pair of locking pliers (a.k.a. vice-grips). Ever since Peterson invented the original Vice-grips a hundred years ago people have found that they are one of the most versatile tools in their collection. If you look around on-line you can even find long lists of uses for vice-grips. You’ll see everything from pulling out staples and headless nails to removing rounded-off screws and frozen bolts to clamping glued objects to clamping hoses. Heck, I’ve even seen people use them as temporary replacements for a doorknob and a faucet handle. This reasonably priced heavy-duty set will do just about anything you need it to do. As always, Husky hand tools have a lifetime warranty. If it fails, you just carry it back and they’ll replace it free. No questions asked, no receipt needed.

I need locking pliers, quality wasn’t that big an issue, just dependable and good enough to do the job and I needed them pronto. Then throw them into my backup tool box, you know what I mean, tools I wouldn’t mind loaning to a neighbor. They did the job better than adequately, I was surprised at the quality: nice heft, they don’t feel like lesser quality stamped metal, easy to adjust – not trial and error as I expected – they stayed locked, jaws didn’t wobble like cheap slip joint pliers. Very pleased. I’m not going to upgrade to another brand just yet. And I don’t think these are going into my backup tool box.

Good product grips pipe very smoothly with leaving any marks. Comes with lifetime warranty which I doubt will be required as the product is so well manufactured.

All three grip-lock type pliers were of heavy duty construction but all three were not well threaded. That is, each of the threaded, circular-rotating, locking/unlocking stems are difficult to turn; the poorly threaded chamber causes the stem to stick when turning the stem in either direction. I lllghtly lubricated each stem, a messy exercise, but this did little to eliminate the problem. Perhaps repeated use will improve performance, as the threaded stems wear down.

Excellent quality and at a very reasonable price. I used the smallest one to detach the drainage hose from my washer and it was the perfect tool for opening the clamp. Based on the quality craftmanship I anticipate using these tools for many years.
