These Husky Utility Knives are a must have for anyone who uses a razor knife or box cutter. This is a heavy duty, all metal product. Don’t let the word “compact” fool you; they hold a standard size blade and when opened, the handle allows a good grip. They are called “compact” because the blade holder folds over into the handle instead of the blade sliding into the handle. I like the thumb knob on the blade holder for easy one-hand opening. They lock open and there is a release button for closing. There is a mechanism for quick blade replacement and a pocket clip for easy carry. The only con is they do not include replacement blades.

You can never have too many pocket knives. This set of three gives me not only a pocket knife but two extra knives that I can leave in other places where I will need them. I leave one extra in the horse barn for opening bales of hay and the other one in a drawer in the kitchen that my wife and I use for household duties. One use around the house is cutting up shipping boxes. One of the great things about this style of knife is the replaceable blade. It is always a struggle to keep the blade on a pocket knife sharp. With these blades you don’t have to sharpen them, just replace them. One thing that I always do with the knife I keep in my pocket is to change out the blade as soon as it gets dull rather than flipping it over to use the other side. That way if I am out and about and I realize the blade is dull I always have a spare sharp blade just by flipping it over.

It’s hard to get very excited about a utility knife but these are very compact and easy to use. I was really happy about the 3-pack! Instead of looking in my toolbox for a knife I now have one in the basement, one in the “junk drawer” in the kitchen and one in the garage! These are great anything that requires a knife. They are very slim and fir great in your pockets too!
