Overall, this flashlight works pretty well. I got this to replace an old MAG light that my wife kept in her car. One of the batteries swelled up in there and so here I am getting this. While this Husky light isn’t quite the same from a potential weapon standpoint, the flashlight still seems very well built (though I did not run over it with a semi truck to test this…).The key differences are that there is a rubberized coating around the light itself and the end of the battery chamber, you cannot twist the lamp head to focus between a flood light and a spot light, and the button to turn it on is located on the back of the light rather than the side. This probably adds durability to the flashlight, but it also adds my only gripe about the light. When holding it such that I would turn it on by clicking the button with my thumb, I can’t quite get it to click and stay on. My thumb is just not nimble enough to bend in and push the button far enough down. The last key difference is the different modes that the light has. While the old MAG had just “On” and “Off,” the Husky light has “On-High (600 lumens),” “On-Low (200 lumens),” “On-Strobe,” and “Off” settings. You cycle through these by turning the light on and off in quick succession. Both the 600 and 200 lumen settings are plenty bright; do not look directly into the light. The strobe setting would be a great option to blind a potential assailant to disorient them and get away.

Husky says this thing is virtually unbreakable, and as far as the flashlight body goes I would tend to agree. In my opinion the weak point is the plastic battery case that holds the 4 AA batteries; the case is similar to those used in those $1 small 3AAA flashlights and seems rather flimsy. I wouldn’t even point this out if it wasn’t billed as “virtually indestructible”.

This Husky 600 Lumen LED flashlight is very nice! It weighs exactly 16 ounces with the included batteries. It is about 8 1/2″ long. It uses 4 AA batteries. Mine came with Eveready Energizer Max batteries. The flashlight has an end cap (Tail switch) button that controls 3 light modes, High, Low and Strobe. Even the low mode is quite sufficiently bright. This flashlight does not have a zoom feature, but my opinion is that it does not need one. The packaging states that the battery life in high mode is 3.5 hours and in low mode (200 Lumens) the batteries should last 8 hours. I cannot address that personally since I have chosen not to purposefully drain the batteries. I can confirm Q at that this flashlight appears to be built very solidly. Only the end cap can be removed, and it has two O ring seals on it . The high mode will easily light up my utility building from about 65ft away (see photos). The tail switch is easy to use. The flashlight also has a Lifetime Warranty. I’m very impressed with this flashlight.

Just what I needed. I live in a rural area, lots of bears, my head is always on a swivel. The flashlight helps me feel safe. The 1500 lumens is perfect.

The Husky 1500 Lumens LED Virtually Unbreakable Aluminum Flashlight, Black is a very sturdy, tough flashlight. It has a high beam, a low beam and a strobe light. It came with the 6 AA batteries needed which was nice. It has a lifetime warranty which you can’t beat. I would definitely recommend this flashlight. It would make a great gift for someone you love and want to keep safe.

A really good quality flashlight. It’s made of aluminum but is still hefty. It uses 6 AA batteries which were included, legit energizer batteries. It’s waterproof to one meter so it’s good for general outdoor useIt’s got a low, medium and high intensity setting as well as a strobe setting. At the brightest setting it puts out bright white light, not in a tight spot, more of a flood pattern, but it is bright. The light comes from 3 leds The light has a rubbery coating and overall is a solid flashlight.

Love this flashlight. It is the brightest one I have ever owned. The fact that uses LED technology to produce the light means that it will not use up the batteries as quickly as conventional bulbs.

This was the brightest light I could find that still uses AA batteries. It is comfortable and durable for around the house and outdoors.

This is a very durable light that uses AA batteries. The ‘focus’ function on it does not work well – if at all – but the light it produces is pretty good. I have not owned it long enough to know about the battery life yet.

When it stays on full, it is bright but often dims after being on for a short time.

Great flashlight. Light in comparison and very bright
