These clamps worked fine on the project I bought them for. They fit into small spaces and clamp snugly while other parts are adjusted. Definitely not for heavy duty work or when safety is the topmost concern. I would give 5 stars if there was some kind of integral *safety* to prevent inadvertant unclamping. Coloring the release red is partway there…

These Husky 4.5″ trigger clamps work fine to hold lumber or PVC trim boards in place. I used them to build a PVC ladder-style roadbed for a garden railway. The roadbed is 3.5″ wide and 1.5″ high.

I just purchased these today, Nov. 23rd, 2018 and they seem very sturdy for their small size. They are not meant for Heavy Duty Work, but for small projects that require a Small, but Strong Clamp. They should work well for what I have in mind.
