Picked this up on sale for $29 to tack down some underlayment before laying LVP. For $29, it was a steal, but you need to know you get what you pay for. Super cheap plastic, including trigger, and it leaks air through the trigger. Despite those things, still 4 stars because it did its job on the cheap.

I have always liked a 2″ brad for securing a plywood laminate glue up. The extra length helps secure the layers of plywood so they don’t shift when you glue them up. Now, I love my PC brad nailer, but the one I have only goes up to 1.5″ and sometimes that is a tad shorter than I want to use.And this gun doubles as a staple gun, adding a lot of flexability in one package. More bang for your buck!

Excellent unit. Comes fully assembled and ready for use. a box of nails was included. I really like the handle grip. Soft pliable and makes holding onto the unit easy. It worked perfectly. I nailed up some trim I have been wanting to put up and secured them like a charm! This unit is an excellent choice for interior and exterior finish work and trim, cabinetry, cabinet backing, window casing, picture frame assembly, and hobbies and crafts. This air powered combination nail gun and stapler is compatible with 18 gauge brad nails from 3/8″ to 2″, and 18 gauge glue collated 1/4″ narrow crown staples from 1/2″ to 1-5/8″.Other features of this combo finish tool include a no mar safety tip to prevent damage to your working surface, a 360 degree adjustable exhaust to direct air away from your face and debris, and a convenient reload indicator so you are able to see when you are running low on fasteners.

I purchased and used this for some door trim that needed replaced. With the compressor regulator set to the tools max pressure, and the depth adjustment on the tool set to full, I had trouble getting 2″ brads fully seated going through 3/4″ MDF, 5/8″ drywall, into framing. Maybe it’s the wrong tool for the job, I don’t know, I’m not a professional. Also, there were instances when the next brad wasn’t loaded for whatever reason and the firing mechanism would leave a huge divot in the trim.

After looking at other brands I was surprised to find this nailer at such an affordable price. I only needed a brad nailer but the additional functionality of a crown stapler was a bonus. I was a little skeptical but decided to give it a try. I have used it only a few times in the past weeks since I got it but it works great for what I need. The package I got came with a package of crown staples but no brad nails. I was able to use 18 gauge brads from another brand without any issue which was a big relief since there were no “husky” brand brads in the store. The Home depot staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about what brads would work. I am happy with the purchase.
