Have not used it a ton, but it works well for what I have done. Seems to be well made, of sturdy construction, not cheap or plastic. Have driven both 1 1/4″ & 2 1/2″ nails in softer wood and it worked well Have not had an opportunity to test it on any hardwood yet. Pretty easy to set up loads easily

Up until I got this nailer, I’d always used an 18-ga brad nailer for trim, and I figured I’d try this 16-ga nailer for installing window jamb extensions and door jambs. One of the nicest features about this nailer is the pad and shape of the nose. The nailer didn’t leave a single mark on my jambs, and the curve of the nose made it easy to slightly adjust the angle of the nail. Another great feature is the way the nose flips out of the way to easily clear jams; however, I’ve used the gun for about a dozen window jambs and haven’t had a single jam yet (I did oil it before first use). Adding/removing nails is easy but you do have to actually grab the nails – they don’t slide easily in the magazine – so if you need to remove them (which I do, just for safety) it’s hard to grab them if you only have a few left in the magazine. On my nailer, the depth adjuster was really locked in place out of the box, so I had to work really hard with a plier to get the depth adjuster to move. Once I did, adjustment was easy. I used the nailer on the deepest possible setting, and I still sometimes had to use a nailset to “hide” the top of the fasteners. The nailer does ok in corners; I found that turning it upside down made it more effective at reaching into corners (so the nose rests on the curved part). I thought I would find this nailer too heavy compared to my 18-ga, but it wasn’t.

Good solid nailer & good value for the money! No jams so far, but the mechanism to clear a jam is pretty straightforward. Loading finish nail strips is fairly easy after getting used to it. The spring-loaded nail feed needs to be held back strongly to get it out of the way when inserting the strip. Nail depth control is a little tricky – very much trial and error. I was using 2″ nails through skirting board, drywall & into studs. It took over 100psi and the max setting on the depth control to get them to be slightly below the surface. And even then an occasional nail would protrude a little further – probably due to wall variations.

It didn’t shoot through 3/4 hardwood floor Brazilian cherry . Only use it for molding.

Exceeded my expectation. I put down hardwood flooring and needed to face-nail down a few rows. It was very good using DeWalt 16 GA finishing nails with occasional premature shots (sensitivity of trigger: mistake on my part). After getting used, it performed very well. The price was cheaper than other brands, too. I recommend it.

Was remodeling our house and bought this nail gun to install baseboards and cabinetry moldings. Worked great. Have used both 2 inch and 1 inch finishing nails and the nail gun has operated flawlessly with both. Super easy to load and use. Nailed a box and a half of nails so far and no jams or problems.

Was upset that I could not ((and still can’t) find my Porter Cable 16 gauge pneumatic nailer but after ordering, receiving and using this one I don’t really care anymore! When I first took it out of the box it seemed heavy compared to the PC 16 ga. but after actually using it I see that is not the case. Well balanced and solidly built and the “free to move with me” male hose adaptor on the gun is a great feature. My PC pneumatic nailers have been good to me but I will say I would have to agree with the reviews that say the 16 ga. jams too often. This one seems like the mechanism is very smooth. Just started using it so we’ll see how it goes but I’d be surprised if any problems developed.

I purchased this nailer for a hardwood floor installation, and I have to say it’s proven to be a very capable tool. No problems whatsoever.

I had never used a nail gun before. Easy to use, excellent saftey controls for idiots and I could have never rebuilt my fence without it. With hte right air pressure it sets the nails perfectly.

This Finish nailer makes quick work of tasks without a lot of effort. The nailer will save you a lot of time and energy. Very little trace evidence is left behind as well. None of the hammer indents if you miss or drive the nail in too deep. The nailer is very light weight and easy to use.

I bought this gun on sale about a year ago as a back-up for my bostitch 16 gauge. I was very surprised when i used this gun trim a house. It never jammed one time with any nail size i tried even a bunch of senco 1″ finish nails. It fires quietly compared to bostitch and it had power in reserve even when nailing Brazilian walnut with 2 1/2 ” nails which it recessed all nails just below the surface perfectly to be filled. The only feature on this gun that I am a little disappointed with is the depth adjustment, its a little difficult to turn but other than that I am very happy.I use mainly hitachi finish guns and man it is just as smooth but at a much lower cost. Dont be afraid you will be happy as I am and use it just about everyday……

Just unconventional nails and a fraction of the time. Used the finish nailer to trim out our basement renovation and it was great! Much cleaner than conventional nails and I was done in half the time!
