Was hesitant to purchase this set at first because it was 20% more expensive than a similar Stanley Universal Tool set, but once I used these tools all fears were put aside! This is a great quality tool set for a bargain price. The ratchets are awesome – they are butter smooth and feel good in the hand. I used them in a boxed-in steel application with less than 3/8″ free space and the ratcheting mechanism still worked to tighten nuts and bolts. The sockets, although made to fit on a variety of hardware types, are engineered to fit with tight tolerances to the sizes specified. Even the wrenches are universal fit. Surprisingly, the most useful tool in the set has proved to be the Gimbal ratchet, allowing me to tighten down nuts and bolts where a regular wrench proved unwieldy. It has even worked upside-down! I have used these tools for three months solid almost daily and have had no issues. Worse thing is the ratchets are showing a little bit of wear on the sides of the heads, but what every-day tool doesn’t show some wear marks over time? That is just building in character. If you need a great set of tools, especially a portable one for jobs outside the home, this set is your go-to choice.
