An awesome ratchet for automotive work as well as anything else requiring a ratchet. This unique tool allows you to position the ratchet head at increments up to 90 degrees. Allowing for work in tight quarters that can be adjusted on the fly by letting it float without the brake engaged. Gives flexibility to move the socket at varying places as you turn. The only downside is that the cool black finish is sometimes lost in the shadows of your work. A contrasting color stripe would greatly help this. Finish is a bit slippery requiring extra holding power but looks sleek in the toolbox. Great invention with good execution of a very handy tool.

The only thing I do not like about this ratchet is the finish (black paint) wish this came in chrome. It has a quick release, locking flex head, and extra l length. The head is small and when unlocked the position dents still work, with these 2 additional features the ratchet is nearly perfect. I hope HD will offer this in a plated finish, if they ever do, I will buy it instantly even if it cost a few dollars more. The ratchet I grab fist and use (abuse) the most. Chrome plate this for 5 star rating across the board.

This is my favorite ratchet ever. I was ready to drop $100+ on a quality ratchet, but no other company carries a 3/8, long handle, locking flex head, with push button release, so I settled for the $30 option, and I love it. It’s definitely the most versatile ratchet in my large inventory, and so I highly recommend it. I don’t turn wrenches everyday, but for what I do, the durability has been great (about a year now). Of course, the black paint scratches, but it’s just paint.

Tough ratchet, very solid and heavy. Lots of positions on the swivel, makes reaching the bolt at the proper angle easy. Lots of click positions on the gears, grabs with even the slightest turn. Great ratchet.

Ratchet has very smooth gearing. The bonus feature though was the flex head! I was changing the alternator on the car. If it wasn’t for the flex head, I would’ve had to remove the radiator hose to gain access to one of the bolts. It’s almost like having au- joint on the end of the ratchet, but you don’t lose any clearance in tight spots. And don’t worry about losing any strength. Still able to torque down on the bolt without any issues.

Exactly what I needed, at a reasonable price. I had to combine several tools, to get to my oil pressure/sensor in the back part of my 5.3 liter Chevy engine. This tool allowed me to do it and saved me around $500, from having to have Chevy do it for me.

Ratchet handle adjusts to many different angles but also locks in your chosen angle so it doesn’t move when tightening or loosening a bolt. The ratchet teeth are also finely spaced so it works well in tight spaces.

Feels solid when in use at different angles, great ratchet for the price. Just got the 3/8 ratchet because they make the job easier

I’ve had it several weeks now, and I love it.I wanted a Snap-On or Matco with all these features, but Husky is the only one I’ve been able to find that has everything I was looking for.I’ve whacked the handle with a mallet a few times already and haven’t seen any repercussions from that. The black looks cool, but as is to be expected, it scratches easily.Button release works really well.Flip lever works great. The lock for the head works well (I tried two in the store, and picked the one that worked best). My only complaint is with the flex head when it is unlocked. After a week or so, it got really floppy, so there is no way to put it on a bolt unless I hold or lock the head. I’m going to try to tighten it.Overall, I am very pleased and think it was worth every penny of the $30 I paid for it. Sure it’s got some quirks, but it was so cheap, it’s hard to complain. I love that it has the long handle, push button release, flip leaver, and lockable flex head. It’s exactly what I was looking for, and has done well so far.

The Husky 3/8 in. Drive 100-Position, Locking Flex-Head Ratchet is something I suspect you’ll be using more than you think. When working on vehicles parts have to be removed with bolts always in the oddest inconvenient places. I have universal adapters to attach to a ratchet that can swivel in my toolbox, but quit frankly are a hassle to use when I need them. They don’t allow enough turning force, stick or bang up against something. Additionally, in a tight spot they take up more room in spaces than you want. This flex head ratchet incorporates that functionality directly into the ratchet and allows for small adjustments needed to turn it and get at those buried away nuts. The adjustment range is pretty wide, has a set and lock angle button so it won’t slip as you are working with it. It also comes with the standard button for the socket lock and a reverse button, too. I see this tool as saving me time clearing away car components to make more space to get at nuts and also save tons of aggravation besides. This Husky tool is up to other ratchets I have and works well as a straight ratchet if that’s what you want. I have Husky tools and the quality is high so its something you’ll have for a long time or in my case, until someone borrows it.

I love flex-head ratchets and when my old non name-brand ratchet finally stopped working this was an easy choice. This is the first locking head ratchet I have had and I am not certain if this is beneficial to me as of yet. I love the 100 position drive head though as it allows me to not have to move the handle through as long of an arc to get the ratchet to catch. This is great when you are in a space that requires the longer handle for the torque but gives little room to operate. This ratchet seems well built and the head can be disassembled for cleaning and greasing. I expect this will last in my toolbox for many years.

The ratchet is reliable, and with the push button socket release it keeps the socket where it should be, the only downfall I have had so far is the locking mechanism for the swivel seems to come loose if ratcheting quickly. I am hoping this is because it is new and well oiled. I think that over time once it dries out some, it will be better, as it will not want to be so loose. The length is right for getting under tight spots and still having access to turn the ratchet. It also does not have a wide body like some ratchets, so you can get a pipe on it if needed to help break a rusty bolt loose.
