The Husky Gimbal Ratchet is not just your ordinary palm ratchet; its innovative design provides multidirectional rotation for easier access in hard to reach areas. The 100-tooth internal ratcheting mechanism allows the Gimbal Ratchet to engage fasteners with as little as a 3.6⁰ rotation. The Husky Gimbal Ratchet is the perfect tool for high speed and low torque applications even in the most confined areas.
- Ideal for high speed low torque applications
- Gyroscopic design pivots on 2 plains giving you access where ratchets and wrenches cannot
- Ball detent helps to secure the socket to the ratchet
- 100-tooth design allows for a fine 3.6° swing arch
- Fits in the palm of your hand
- Works with Husky 3/8 in. drive sockets
- Meets or exceeds ANSI standards
- Call 1-888-HD-HUSKY for customer service and support.

Works flawlessly and I am very happy with it. The condition I received it in was less than acceptable, the box was damaged but tool was fine even though it was sticking out of the box!

I am very impressed with this Husky ratchet. It is sturdy and well built. I destroyed a Kobalt ratchet trying to remove some stubborn bolts on my car. I replace it with this Husky which is much stronger. The ratchet direction lever also does a good job at staying in place unlike the Kobalt.

I picked this up more as a curiosity than with a particular purpose in mind. I found it useful for spinning the lug bolts off after cracking them with a breaker bar, and for putting them back on to hand tight. I’m on my third one as they keep breaking, no longer ratcheting. It usually breaks after the first real use of the tool.I have determined that to correct the issue, I simply need to remove the cover cap and yank the ratcheting block off the cylinder splines. I have no idea how it glues itself to them, but it took a decent force to pull it off. Once it was loose and the tool reassembled (make sure that peg in the cover cap sits back inside the wire loop), it ratchets again just fine. I guess I’ll have to wait until I use it for real again to see if it’s going to seize every time it is loaded. One thing I wish the tool had was a center position where it didn’t ratchet in either direction. Kind of like the 3-position ratcheting screwdrivers. Sometimes you just need to wiggle a screw/bolt/nut back and forth a bit, and that’s annoying with this tool. When it’s working. Yeah, sometimes I like it working, sometimes I like it broken. Maybe I need to have two.Not a must have but is useful, has its operational compromises, demands a bit more love than a ratchet should require. It is $20, but it is only $20. If you need what it is, I recommend it since I don’t know what else I would recommend instead. I gave it three stars, stocking stuffer.

Purchased the 1/2” and 3/8” version along with the Husky 200 piece socket set (item H200MSS). Love the 100 position ratchets for tight spaces and they are all I use now. These ratchets (including the black 1/4”) along with the 200 piece socket set from husky make a perfect set, with no filler, for under $300.

A 100-Position 1/2 in. drive ratchet turns fasteners where other can’t with only a 3.6⁰ arch. It’s longer for a increased reach improving leverage. It has a black finish giving the tool clean look and better durability and corrosion prevention. It’s guaranteed forever; with it’s free of charge replacement. There are many more detail features, but what I like is it’s feel, easy to grip, great leverage with it’s longer handle and the ratchet is simply fantastic, be a full swing rotation down to a 1/4 inch there no change to the power you can applied to the fastener the break it free or torque it down. This bring my second ratchet, the first being the 3/8 inch size drive, I plan on replacing my full line of ratchet with Husky’s. I speak from some experience, having been a FAA repairman, so I have had my fair share of tools.

Liked the concept of the tool and the tool was useful when i first used it. Unfortunately it soon stopped ratcheting. Will be returning to home depot to get a new one.

If you need to work in a tight space this is better than any ratchet I have ever used.

I often mention my tractor in these reviews. It was a basic tractor with many things added-on. Consequently some of the bolts are VERY hard to get at. And once I get a socket on, there isn’t room to take a wide swing on the wrench. (Some cars are no better.) Micro-ratchet wrenches help you out in tight spots. You only have to back-off a few degrees to take another pull. The 100-tooth design is a good compromise between utility and strength. This wrench works smoothly. Nice feel. Very nice surface finish. Direction lever flips easily. Socket retainer holds well and releases with an easy push. I got this wrench on one of the large bolts of my tractor. It did the job. It will be my go-to 1/2″ handle. The handle is slim, good for the tight spot but hard on your hand. Find a bit of heater-hose to slip over it for cushion and grip. Put one drop of thin oil in the end of the quick-release then work the button to get oil down into the release mechanism. It can be a bit sticky when new, but this makes it release slick as a whistle.

Terrific tool for that exhaust manifold nut you just struggle to get.

I bought this after I bought the 3/8 version. This ratchet is great in hard to reach places where you need leverage. My brother’s car has an awkward positioned oil drain bolt and now no problem with the flexibility and length on this ratchet. I also used it taking the brake caliper mounting bolts on my truck where my breaker bar was too big. Took them off and put them back on no problem. (These bolts were torqued at 130 ft lbs). I’ve even used it to pull a steering wheel. This ratchet’s size, flexibility, and high gear count put it in a class that competes with the big boys. I highly recommend this to pros and weekend warriors alike.

This socket wrench is a must when working on today’s right vehicles and ATV’S. I added 1/4 to 3/8 extension and you have both wrenches.

They’ve upped their game! Ratcheting mechanism is very smooth and the locking flex head was well thought out by some mechancis who have busted their knuckes a few times.

This palm ratchet is very versatile. The gimbal action makes positioning socket much easier in restricted access situations. As others have said do not expect the same leverage as a regular wrench. Very satisfied. Am considering replacing my 1/4″ palm ratchet with one of these also.
