I repair equipment as part of my job and restore and race old cars as a hobby. I thought I had all of the tools I needed to get the job done. Some times when I am assembling delicate parts that can not be over tightened I would just grab a socket and use that to hand tighten everything. Using this gives the same hand feel but speeds up the process and gives me a slight increase in hand power but not enough that I am worried about damaging parts. It is especially good in places you can’t fit a normal ratchet. I just added a new tool to my standard tool bag.

Every man needs ratchets and this one completes the most commonly used size!

Only rachet that holds up in industrial setting. I use it everyday on hydraulic lines with a 2ft cheater bar. No issues. I’ve used ALL the other brands. Kobalt 1/2 inch 90 tooth rachet won’t last a week. (I’ve returned 5). For a tough rachet this is it.

Must have for those tight spots. Multi axis allows you to hand tighten in any position.

This gimbal ratchet helps you get into tight spaces that you can’t normally get a socket into to reach or places with little clearance. It ratchets and pivots so getting into different tight spaces and is quicker to use than a box wrench. The size is small and makes it easy to store and transport. Because it is a 3/8″ drive, all extensions, sockets and accessories work with this gimbal ratchet.

Bought this because i was tired of the play that i would get in normal ratchets and mine are getting old. I bought 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 so far ive only used the 1/2 and 1/4. The 1/2 was for rotor/pad change and i was very impressed with the comfort level of the handle right away. The 100 position made removal of the two bolts that hold the caliper in place a breeze in a normally tight area. Also its handle is longer than other 1/2 ratchets (that i have at least) so it gave me more leverage to break the bolt open. Now the 1/4 i used to take a radio out of my daughters mazda and thats done car audio know that space is extremely limited behind a radio and this ratchet made life a million times easier! This is my first set of Husky anything so well see how it holds up over time

Nifty idea – works well. A little awkward to use at an angle, but as soon as it arrived I had a need to take off some bolts from behind a bumper which would have been impossible without this tool.

I bought this ratchet cause it looked like it would be good in tight spaces and when you just can’t get ratchet swing. so I haven’t used it yet, can’t say good or bad.so just gave 3 stars in the middle.

This gimballed ratchet is the perfection of what I cobbled together many years ago to work it tight spots. (My rudimentary version was an old ratchet that I merely cut the handle off of.) The grip on this unit is beautifully designed for an easy, firm grip, even in very tight places. The gimbaling is firm but flexible, which prevents wobbling loosely and allows easy placement of sockets onto nuts and bolt heads when working blind. The quality of this ratchet is excellent. There are no flimsy components and it is designed to be a solid tool that should last forever. The ratchet’s narrow operation angle (3.6° per click) allows for use in extremely tight situations. The ratchet’s direction can easily be changed with a fingertip if necessary. This tool has a place in every mechanic’s toolbox.

This product works very well in awkward or tight areas after you have loosen your Fastener or to apply light torque when tightening a fastener.

It work really well

I have no argument against this tool. The low profile head might allow getting into those tight spots where a standard size ratchet might not fit. With a 3.6 degree click along with nice long handle, torque should no longer be a concern. The handle is exceptionally comfortable as it has a design made for firm torque, but might cause a concern with greasy hands. I like the socket button lock/release. Positive action in anything that moves on this tool. The mechanics within the head are accessible for maintenance, if needed. I highly recommend this tool.

This is the best thing ever! I mean that! I have had to use ratchets in so many instances that I couldn’t actually get to ratchet because of the lack of room. This 100 point system worked for me in slots of even only just over double the width of the handle. We are talking just over an inch or so wide. (Yeah, it took forever, but it worked). I’m a huge fan. The quality is also very high. This is heavy, well made and says it has a lifetime warranty. I feel confident I wont need it but if I do I like this.

Every thing it was described as. Would recommend to everyone.

Great tool concept and very useful for tight places. Issue comes with the internal mechanics of the ratcheting system. The ratchet component itself is made out of sintered powder metal, which degrades faster than a casting or milled piece. Milled would be too expensive obviously, but increasing the teeth size/decreasing count would have allowed for a more rigorous mechanism. The grooved ring that the ratchet component slides across has a coating that breaks off into the grooves/grease and causes seizing when the tool is not in use.Overall the mechanism is clever, relatively simple, and effective. Unfortunately this product was crippled by the manufacturing selections made that did not take into account the necessary tolerances and quality/performance of the materials for this design.
