The Dual-Pawl technology of the Husky 100-Position 1/4 in. 3/8 in. and 1/2 in. ratchets features an ultra-narrow 3.6 arch swing to provide access to hard-to-reach-fasteners. The Husky Gimbal Ratchet boasts an innovative design that provides multi-directional rotation for easier access in hard to reach areas. The 100-tooth internal ratcheting mechanism allows the gimbal ratchet to engage fasteners with as little as a 3.6 rotation. This is one handy and complete ratchet set and was a huge help for the ‘inside’ tool box. It comes with a long ½” drive, a standard length, two ⅜” drives (one long, one short), a ¼” drive, and a small round ¼” drive, for getting into really tight places. They are made by Husky and have an excellent weight to them. The ratchet teeth are close and allow tightening or loosening in tight places where you don’t have much swing, yet still operate. A great investment for any DIY who needs a good complete set of ratchets.

Good ratchets over all.. would be nice if you put some kind of oil coating on the gears. Other than that I like them, and after using them, I went and bought the 60pc tool kit with the 3/8 gimbal. Used them to do maintenance on my wife’s car and change a few tank in my 84 Chevy pickup.

5 Piece Husky Ratchet Handle Set. 4 straight handle ratchets and 1 round (palm) ratchet (see picture). Nice looking units and easy to grip. Did not come with any labels or instructions. 100 position ratchet gives you a minimum 3.6 degree turn to move bolts. Push button quick release and reversing lever. Set includes handles only, no sockets included. The palm ratchet is unique and can be used in small spaces. Sockets can pivot within ratchet. Comes with a lifetime warranty. Socket connections are 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″.

Set includes half inch, three eighths and quarter inch drive ratchets including a quarter inch drive gimbal ratchet for great flexibility and use in tight spaces. Quick release mechanisms make attaching and releasing sockets a cinch – see video – and the low profile ratchets need only 3.6 swing arc. Each of the ratchets is comfortable to hold and to work with and the black anodized finish will keep them looking good for a long time to come.

I’ve had both husky and craftsman tools my entire life. I had Husky tools before there was a Home Depot. In my 60+ years the tools that lasted the longest and worked the best and are still working are the Husky tools. The Craftsman tools, the ratchets in particular have been problematic for me, several have failed. The look and quality of these appears to be top notch. I can predict they will be my go to ratchets.
