The dual-pawl technology on the Husky 100-Position Ratcheting Locking Flex-Head Metric Wrench Set provides access to engage fasteners where other wrenches can’t with its ultra-narrow, 3.6° arc swing box-end. The ratcheting flex-head rotates 180° and locks in 9 different positions. The open end features an innovative Surface Grip design that grips fasteners on the flats rather than the corners. This feature helps to prevent rounding and damage to the fasteners while generating up 80% more grip than a standard open end wrench.

The problem with these, they are built almost too long to be effective for use in automotive applications. You just can’t get in some spaces and get a turn with the ratcheting closed end. The length of them overall won’t allow for leverage or in some instances the ratchet side to ratchet. Almost needs a better ratcheting system in place with more teeth to be able to catch the gear.

These wrenches seem to be fairly high quality but had a small issue with the pivoting heads. the latch seems to come loose as the boxed end is ratcheting. Not sure if it’s the vibration from the ratchet or the motion of rotating the tool, but, all the sizes of the wrenches in this set seemed to have the same inherent problem. I needed the pivoting head due to a clearance issue I had on one of my jobs and would have rated higher if the heads stayed locked. The ratchets are fine toothed so you can really maximize the rotation of a fastener with very tight areas. The wrenches are long and offer good leverage. These wrenches use the flats of the hex and also have the ability to fit on several other types of fastener heads so these may be a future “go-to” tool for me. I do a lot of work on my vehicles and equipment so I hope they hold up. Most of my other (so called) higher quality ratchet wrenches have failures in the ratchet mechanisms and do not have seem to last, so I hope to see better results with these.

they worked good, did what I needed them to. The pivoting head allows you to ratchet the wrench in tight positions. The locking mechanism leave a little to be desired as it will come unlocked on its own when ratcheting. then you have to take it off, re-lock it and try again. I do like them and can see a lot of uses.

These flex head Ratcheting wrenches are surprisingly high quality. I am a high end hand tool junkie and actually purchased these as a 2nd set to leave at my house. Not to be carried in my service truck, after using them a couple of times they actually got moved up to the service truck. The only bad thing is the set lacks a 11mm
